Annual Maintenance dues

As my homework continues before actually buying into the DVC, I am trying to estimate the future costs for the annual maintenance dues. as an example: If I take the current cost per point of $4.56 for SSR and calculate a 3% increase per year for the remainder of the contract ( 46 years), by the time 2053 rolls around the annual cost is up to $15.92 per point. If I purchase 150 points that equals $2388 for annual dues in that final year.

Does anyone have any historical figures they could share as to the actual increases they have incurred over the passed several years?

Dues for SSR are 4.21 and AKV are 4.71. The dues have maintained a 3% for quite a while from what I've read.

If it makes you feel any better, take the price of a regular room at multiply it out over the same number of years at 3 percent, and see how high that becomes!!

yeah, keep in mind you used to be able to stay in the contemporary for less than $50 per night...

inflation happens across the board...not just at DVC.

Thinking about how much a regular room has increased over the years and how much it will be in years to come has really put my mind at ease also.

I guess there's nothing else for me to do now except to put my name on the dotted line....and take the leap.

Yes, DVC cannot raise the dues more than 15% in any year without the vote of the membership. No resort has needed to vote thus far!
