Annual dues question

I logged into my account and the total due with payment button is at top. I then look at the annual dues statement to get the more detailed list. The statement balance due is about $200 less then the payment section? Can anyone explain why my statement balance would say one thing and the payment section something else? Shouldn’t they be the same?

I'm having the same issues understanding what it all means. Because I paid way early this year (June not December) (It's a Brexit thing) there is a confusing amount of info on the online page. I have no idea what half of it mean, I just know that I'm $1.68 in credit overall ( I have 2 contracts) No idea why it's that amount. It's not just an exchange rate thing. There are just some odd phrases.

I just want to know why the two different numbers. Am I missing something somewhere? 6DCC7B10-0173-4D8D-BFFF-5128872B8EE6.jpegFA6A3911-BB9E-47B5-8A4D-FA2DC04DF199.jpeg

Sesame, Do you pay monthly or up front? The $1933 could reflect the remaining unpaid dues from 2018. Just a thought.

I agree it is weird. They are not making it easy to understand. I saw this yesterday and concluded it was the difference between property tax estimates and actual property tax amounts. It looked like they acted like it was a credit. But I am not sure.

To add, for the U.K. folks, in our local county, we find out our property taxes for the year in about May, but if you contest your home’s valuation, you may not know your property tax amount until much later in the year. Every self respecting business contests their property tax in the US. It is a bit of a game.

I am paid in full, and my statement amount is different than pay by date amount.

You might be seeing last years detail. Select 2020 if you can on the detail page.

I assume you mean you are going first to the page that has a box for "Membership Dues Balance" and you can click "Pay Balance," and another box that says "Annual Dues Statement" and you can click "View Statement" and you have gone to the statement. The totals should not differ for 2020, at least they do not for my account. However, the actual statement you will see initially after clicking on View Statement is the one for 2019 and you have to open the little box that says Statement Year and go to 2020 to get your new statement. If you have already done that and there is still a difference, then you may have an issue for which you need to contact MS accounting.

Not sure of all the entries but the first, second and last one seem to be referring to the $1.86 overpayment of which only $19.26 of the $21.12 should be applied. As to estimated taxes, I do not see everything you have but usually that is a reference to any adjustment due to amounts you paid in 2019 for property taxes. The estimated amount paid by you for the year, here 2019, often differs from the amount DVC actually has to pay the government for the year, and you can get an adjustment in the next year's dues (now 2020) for the underpayment or overpayment that you made.

Actually this might be last year’s bill. I had to go to a desktop to see 2020. But it is confusing to me because on my bill it shows amounts paid on dates during 2019 for the 2019 bill. The one just posted is the 2020 bill. My prepay got posted in the 2019 bill but was credit to the current bill. The credit in 2019 gets applied to your current bill.

I was just about to say this. At the bottom of the picture OP attached it says 2019 dues. OP needs to select 2020 from the drop down menu for current year.

Thank you! You are correct I was looking at 2019. Whose bright idea is that? You have a bill you want to check the details of bill. You click on statement details only to be given last years bill. Ugh. But thank you to all of you for helping me out with that one.
