Annual Dues ever go down?

I would think that real estate taxes have got to be going down given the market values have gone down, no? Anyone here knowledgeable of whether dues could possibly go down due to lower real estate taxes?

BWV dues went down in 2000 or 2001, not sure if it was due to real estate taxes.

Yes, the annual fees did go down or remain flat from 1999 - 2001 at OKW, VB, HH and BWV. It was due to overestimated property taxes. Here is a history of the maintenance fees over the years.

As others have pointed out, yes they can, but remember, Property Taxes are only a portion of the total dues and salaries and similar have a large impact to the ever increasing dues, probably more so then the property tax increases.

I do not think Property taxes will go down anywhere... Everyone who I know including mine has gone up more in the past few years then previous. While your property is worth less Gov't is cutting aid plus loss of tax from decreased sales and none payment of property taxes for various reasons Etc.
The money has to come from somewehere....

Seriously questionable that any property in Disney World has gone down in value for tax purposes and that includes DVC interestsd. In any event, don't expect it to go down because of any decrease real estate values because the local goverments have reacted to that problem by raising tax rates.

We own at BLT and actually got a small credit in 2010 because maintenance fees were estimated higher than actually needed in 2009. It was definitely a nice bit of pixie dust (although I don't ever expect it to happen again - LOL).
