I plan on paying my annual dues online before the end of the February 15th "grace period" ... as I always do.

However, for the first time in my 10 years of membership, I actually have a reservation with a check in that falls within the Jan 15-Feb 15 grace period for payment.

Question: Will there be any problem at check-in next week if I have not yet paid the dues (which technically were due Jan 15 but are not "overdue" until Feb 15)?

It is my understanding that you have to pay your dues before you can check in when you are beyond the payment due date (1/15). We have a trip on Friday, so I made sure to pay my dues last week to ensure that we didn't have any issue checking in.

darn.........I'm in the same situation..... I usually pay early Feb, but I just made a CC payment just in case (I'm checking Saturday). It says reservation will be held if payment is delinquent, which I don't think we currently are, but I can't take any chances of course.

hmm, I tried to find this info. on the website but couldn't, and when I called accounting/MS today, the lady on the phone told me it wouldn't affect my Jan. 30th reservation, if I hadn't paid yet. that it wasn't "late" until Feb. 14th..wonder if I need to make another call to verify with someone else?

This same question came up last year and I was traveling in early February so was concerned. The answer I was given is that you are not late until the end of the grace period (Feburary 14th). I had no problem and paid my dues the day I got home from my trip.

No, it would not affect a reservation until February 15. If ou are arriving on that date or after, you should be prepared to pay your annual fees at arrival, if not already paid.

I found this...

When are Late Payments assessed and how do they affect my Vacation Points?
Late payments can impact your ability to make reservations and to bank and borrow Vacation Points. Any payment that is overdue, including but not limited to Annual Dues, Loans (if applicable), Member Getaways transaction fees and balances from Disney Vacation Club Resort stays, prohibits banking and borrowing of Vacation Points. In addition, if you are more than 90 days past due on your Annual Dues, this will cause a suspension of all activities, including the cancellation of any existing reservations. So please take note - to make the best use of your Membership, be sure to keep your account up to date!

Looks more like there is a 90 day grace period (with charges incurred of course).

I just made a reservation today and have not yet paid my dues. My guess is that i may run the risk of the reservation being cancelled if I do not pay by the end of the grace period.

I paid mine on the 15th for fear this is my 1st year and it would be my luck that my feb 16th ressie would be cancelled.:rotfl:

A couple weeks after Christmas, why do they do it jan ?
