So did you know you can save all sorts of money by not leasing a new car every year?

This reminds me of the articles about how you can lose all sorts of weight by simply switching from whole to skim milk.

Who on earth is the audience they are addressing in these kinds of articles? Is there anyone who reads that type of advice and thinks "wow, what a good idea. I never thought of that?"

I hate those articles. They have one every few weeks. All they ever highlight are things nobody I know does.

YES! And I hate the comments too. There's always someone saying, "We scrimp and save all the time. We have a 1000 year old car and we haven't taken a vacation in 15 years." Is that supposed to make me want to be like you? I'd go insane if I worked all year and could take a relaxing trip with my family every year or so.
