Alright, this may sound silly, but I'm really annoyed at myself today. I know I just have to move one and in the end it did no damage, but...

I planned my work day food very well yesterday and went home with 12.5 points left. Then I went to the gym and did what I thought was 4 activity points worth of excercise.

So, when I finally went home for dinner, I had essentially 16 points to eat. So, I went a little nuts. I just cooked dinner without counting points, had a pre-dinner snack, then had dessert and a later snack, all without counting points, but thinking I was well within my original 12.5 points.

When I finally counted them before going to bed, I had eat 13 points in the span of 2.5 hours, and after 8:00 p.m.! All on low-fat/WW-friendly foods, but still... I am not upset with the result, but the attitude and behavior. It's like the old me was resurfacing a bit, but instead of ice cream and chocolate, it was low-fat cheese and baked chips and salsa.

I also realized that my 4 activity points were really only 3, which annoyed me to no end. How is doing 40 minutes on the elliptical/cross trainer 5 points, and walking on the treadmill only 3? My heart rate was in the same range for both of them, so I figured the hill program on the treadmill would give me 4 pts. Nope, only 3.

I think I also feel bummed today because I don't feel any different. I've lost almost 10 pounds overall and still can't fit into my size 16s. I have less than 3 weeks to go til my trip and will have no clothes if I can't fit into them. I refuse to buy new ones.

Sorry for venting. Today is a blue day.

I'm sorry you're feeling blue today.

Put yesterday behind you and buckle down. I'm sure if you keep up the good work you've been doing that you'll be able to fit into your vacation clothes in 3 weeks. :)

Oh, please don't feel so blue today. Yesterday is in the past and you need to focus on today. You can't go back and change what happened yesterday, but you can learn from it. Keep your chin up and get back OP today and you will be able to get into those clothes in 3 weeks time if you really stick to it. OK now, CHIN UP!!!:D

Jenn- !

We all get these kinda days. You are so right that you just need to put it behind you! Vacation is SOOOO close. Just keep doing what you are doing and you WILL make it! One day this week or next, you'll just be able to pop those size 16 shorts on and that will be that!:sunny: I can just feel it is going to happen for you.

I have been trying to record my dinner BEFORE I make or eat it, because I get sooooo busy at that time of day that I can't manage it all. That way I know for sure what my limits are before I get anywhere near the kitchen! And I've been trying to save enough points for Edys Fat Free ice cream as a night snack.:goodvibes

So here's some :wizard: for you so you can get in those shorts and have a wonderful vacation!:cool1:

In the last 15 months I've lost @110 pounds. If I had just one penny for every time I "went nuts:D " and overinduldged, I'd be a RICH, RICH woman!!! No one is ever the model of perfection! The important thing is to forget about yesterday, and concentrate on today! DO NOT let one day of old resurfacing behaviors get in the way of your present and future behaviors! As difficult as it may be--don't let this get you down! One day will not make or break you--you may feel blue today, but you'll feel better once you get back on track! I know how difficult a journey this can be--believe me!;) Know we're all here for you, and how much we care and support you!

Jenn, I'm sorry you're feeling so blue :( . I know those feelings all too well! It's scary when our old eating habits resurface!!

Today is a new day, a new beginning, a fresh start. Drink your water, plan your points (yes, even those evening dinner points!!) and you'll do just fine. You're taking steps in a healthy direction - maybe those steps aren't long strides yet but you're moving toward a healthier you.

I'm sorry you're feeling this way ... we've all had those days :( But I feel compelled to point out that I don't believe you "went back to your old ways" -- although you may feel like you have eaten way too much in a short period of time, you chose foods that are so much better for you than you probably did in the past. I think you should be proud of yourself -- now me eating 2 slices of Strawberry Shortcake the other night, THAT's reverting back to old ways :teeth:

 , Jenn. We discussed this very thing at my WW meeting Monday. According to my leader, it really doesn't matter when you eat your points. Eating late in the evening is no worse than eating at any other time of day. It's the amount you eat for the entire day that is really important. So, see there, you really didn't do anything bad!! :sunny:

On the other hand, I saw so many good things in your post that you are doing!

1. You planned your work day food well, leaving 12.5 for the evening. Did the "old you" plan as well?

2. You stopped and exercised on the way home, earning 3 activity points. That sounds like a person very committed to losing weight and getting healthy.

3. You ate foods that were low in fat and WW friendly. 'Nuff said!

4. You stayed within the number of points you had left for the day. You had 12.5 points left for the evening and you earned 3 activity points, totaling 15.5. You only ate 13 points, leaving you a surplus of 2.5 points! And you didn't dip into flex points at all.

I think you deserve a pat on the back for all the good things you've been doing!! Your behavior and attitudes have changed for the better!! I know we don't always reach our goals as quickly as we would like to, but with all the hard work you've been doing, you WILL get there! I'll bet those clothes will look great on you by the time your trip comes!!:D

You are doing great, you have lost nearly 10lbs. I know you will soon fit into those size 16s::yes::. You are making better food choices and you are exercising :Pinkbounc. You should feel proud that you are doing so well and move on from yesterday.
:wave2:

:D Thanks for all the words of encouragement. They do mean a lot. I feel a lot better, with some perspective now.

I just got in a downward spiral - upset I didn't fit in the clothes, then upset at not starting WW earlier, then upset that I even gained the weight, then upset I quit WW last time and on and on and on. But, I didn't succumb to self-pity and eat. I posted here, got a lot of encouragement from my WISH friends and made it through the day. Now, I'm feeling much, much better.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

I'm still not sure I'll fit in the pants correctly. I'll be the hoochie-mama in the too-tight capris on my cruise.

Thanks again everyone!

And my question to you is why are you upset? You stayed within range, you didn't binge on foods that were "off limits" you worked out and you've lost 10 lbs - um, not to be rude but you are throwing yourself a Pity Party for now reason! :) Just teasing.

:sunny: SMILE:sunny: you are doing great! Look at it this way you did everything right. And per WW you can eat your points whenever you want so don't stress so much about eating after 8pm. As far as the activity points the only thing I can figure is maybe using your arms on the one machine makes your earn more points vs. using the treadmill.

I think you are doing great! If you keep this up you will be in your size 16's in no time. Along with weight loss we all need to learn to work on our self talk. Don't let yourself get into these downward spirals. Take a step back and look at the BIG picture!

Sweetie I think you are doing fabulous ::yes::

I agree with the rest, Jenn, you are doing great!! I am also glad you are feeling better today!!
