We stayed at the Grand Floridian last December using the $199 AP rate. We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We got a standard room, but one evening as we returned to the room to change for our Anniversary dinner at the California Grill there was a surprise from the staff. Our bed was turned down for the evening and there was an ice bucket with a bottle of champagene, some chocolates, and a anniversary card on the bed. We were surprised and took the champagne with us to the California Grill and we drank it with dinner. Also, after dinner the server told us to hold up for a few minutes, we had missed the 6PM fireworks so the surprise was a pirotechnic convention testing fireworks over the lagoon at 9PM. The fireworks were the best I have ever seen and the testing lasted over 30 minutes.

we took a belated (13 year belated) honeymoon at the GF in Nov. 2000 - the CM we made the travel arrangements with put the honeymoon on our ressies and the CMs I made our PSs with did the same (it was also my birthday the week we were thereand they noted that too).

Although we didn't get a view of the castle...we were booked for a GF garden view...we did get a lagoon view and could watch the ELP from our deck. We had great tables at Cal Grill for MK FW and a perfect table for Illuminations at Rose n Crown. We were treated to comp champagne at almost every dinner (and some lunches) and comp champagne & roses in our room after dining a Victoria & Alberts.

We are going back this May and I don't expect the same treatment...but then again I didn't say the trip is a special occasion when we made our ressies...but you never know when the pixie dust will drift your way.

It certainly doesn't hurt to let the CMs know -
