We are headed to AKV Jambo, then the Poly in just over a week. We'll be changing hotels on our anniversary, and I'm trying to think of somethings with which to surprise my husband. During the year, we don't buy each other bday, Christmas, or anniversary gifts, as we consider our WDW trips our gifts to one another. This year, we bought in to DVC for the first time as our gift. Yay!

However, since we will actually be there on our anniversary date, I'm trying to come up with a small (not too expensive surprise). We started going to WDW on our honeymoon and got hooked. We are already scheduled for Kona for lunch and The Wave for dinner that day, and we have a tradition of going into MK to walk around at night on our first night when we stay at an MK resort. We'll have our two young kids (3 and 1) with us. We don't really drink, and we are already planning on going to the TOTW lounge after our Wave dinner before heading into MK.

Any ideas? I'm sure there are things we don't know about. It doesn't have to be super romantic--my husband would be thrilled if I introduced him to some "secret" about WDW that we didn't previously know.

Thanks!

I was going to suggest the bride and groom mickey ears, but the carriage ride sounds really nice!

Get some special treat and then scope out an awesome spot for your family to watch the fireworks.

Bride and groom mickey ears... plus R-rated role-playing costumes from EPCOT for an unforgettable honeymoon renewal.

I like the Kimono from Japan, Belly-dancing dress from Morocco, Chipao from China... or one per day, surprise him with a different theme each day.

Ask him to watch the children in EPCOT for some rides while you shop for those supplies. Then wrap those costumes in bags to surprise him later.

You should also take advantage of evening daycare available at AKL and VWL to create some alone time.

Also, sunset dinner or dessert at California Grill at BLT is nice. You just need to get a table ahead of time at the right time (ie, sunset time for your travel date).

If you create an evening with kids and kiddy stuff like watching fireworks together, it feels more like a Father's Day celebration. So you may wish to avoid that and make it more Anniversary honeymoon celebration. You will know your husband the best. Maybe he does not mind so good luck.
