Siham was our server. She was EXCELLENT. She was very attentive and made sure we got exactly what we wanted all night.
We started with the standard bread and butter basket.
Rock Shrimp Cocktail - This was Sashafarce's appetizer. There was a good amount of shrimp. In her words "It was average."
Cheese Plate - Left to right this was Goat Cheese, Gouda, and Blue Cheese. I love Blue Cheese but this was a little strong. The Gouda was good. The Goat Cheese was the best. Overall though Cheese Plate #1 (there will be more) was average.
Roasted Beef Tenderloin with Duchess Potatoes - We both ordered this. Sashafarce ordered hers well done and hers was cooked correctly. I ordered mine rare and as you can see from picture above it was definitely not rare. Siham promptly went back to kitchen and brought me new beef that was perfectly rare. The meat, once cooked as ordered, was excellent. The potatoes were very good but the asparagus was over cooked. We both enjoyed our entrees.
Chef's Tasting Trio - from left to right espresso cheesecake, vanilla bean custard, and flourless chocolate cake - Again we both ordered this. The cake and custard were really great especially if combined. The cheesecake I didn't enjoy as I am not a huge fan of coffee flavored desserts but Sashafarce thought it was good. We were both glad we got to try a little bit of everything.
Halloween Cake - This was given to all tables as this was a
MNSSHP night. It was pretty and that's about it. It was the most flavorless chocolate cake I've ever had.
One non-food comment. We were seated in the section directly in front of the stairs. By the time we finished our appetizers, we were the only table in that entire section. We think that due to this, the princesses ignored us. We didn't see one princess all night. When we were ready to go Siham asked us and insisted she would bring them to us but as we are not character picture takers or autograph seekers we told her it was unnecessary. It was however very odd.
Overall, we enjoyed dinner. We enjoy breakfast at CRT more though. Was it worth the money food wise? No it wasn't but you pay for the experience. We like dining in the castle and, so far, it's the best table service in MK in our opinion (only one we haven't tried is Tony's).
We will definitely return to CRT (although maybe not for dinner) but it's also not on the must repeat ASAP list.
