Anniversary trip

So trying to get get some ideas for an anniversary trip( 37 years) We usually have kids with us and have a trip with our youngest DS(17) and 3 grandkids scheduled later in 2025 so this is an “extra trip”. We drive from Ohio and plan to go Feb 23-28. I usually have no issue with where to stay or what to do but am a little stumped with just the 2 of us. We are not park commandos, we rope drop to 2-3 o’clock and like to hang out at the resort. We like Copper creek but hate to commit to renting points since we are driving from Ohio and would like to make it a little more budget friendly since it’s an extra trip. Any suggestions on resorts, places to eat, (not DS fans) would be appreciated.

We've taken several anniversary trips (25th, 30th, 40th), but every idea I have is pricey! For example, one year we went to a pick a pearl stand where DH picked the pearl, I picked the ring setting, and the next day he presented it to me. Now it sits on my left hand, in place of an engagement ring (didn't get one). For our 30th, we ordered a beautiful Anniversary Cake and it was delivered to dinner (pre-character Artist Point). For our 40th, we just went to Jiko for dinner and had a free dessert.

We have done a few anniversary trips, usually just a few days. We try to do a special dinner that we wouldn't do with the kids, We also try different resorts (like Vero Beach) . To be cost effective, we limit our park days. Try a fireworks cruise, or a guided tour to enjoy your trip. Enjoy, and congradulations.

Is there a particular resort theme that you enjoy? Maybe Port Orleans FQ or Riverside for a budget friendly approach but with a (likely) quieter atmosphere. Those dates might align with the start of the Garden Festival which is always beautiful. Personally, I love the lazy days at the parks with the hubs when we can just wander around without a set plan and spend time together. Jtopp's suggestion for the fireworks cruise is a great one!

Thank you. Definitely want to try some more “adult” restaurants as our next trip with the grandkids will mostly be chicken nuggets and hot dogs at the campsite!!

I thought about trying Port Orleans and it may be my choice if I can’t get a decent price at WL. I really want to stay at WL again and DH said we could but I’m usually more frugal so I would need a nice little discount. Definitely going to go at slower pace with DH!!! He loves to people watch. (Me not as much but maybe we can at least take it slower)

Try to book dinner at the rose and crown be careful everyone wants this. Also try to be seated outside then you can watch the fireworks so pretty and you feel special eating your desert.
