we are planning a special anniversary weekend - without our son. Any suggestions for romantic places to dine? Thanks!!

We went to WDW for our 1 yr anniversary and to celebrate dh's homecoming from deployment.
Best place we ate at Artist Point! Food was superb, atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, we really got to enjoy each others company. CA Grill was LOUD, food wasn't as good as AP and it was crowded b/c of fireworks. We wouldn't eat there again for the $ for dinner. Maybe for lunch.

Artist Point has one of the best couples type atmospheres in WDW. Jiko is also a great experience. CG has great food and a good view. It's not exactly intimate if that's a primary goal of yours.

Victoria and Albert's.

If you have never eaten at an AAA Five Diamond rated restaurant (and there are only about 50 in the entire country) it is an experience you will not forget. And the live harp music is very romantic.

Nothing compares to V&A in any way.

I would not consider any restaurant on Disney's Dining plans to be romantic. They can all be very crowded and noisy. Artist Point is probably the quietest of the bunch but the decor is early-cabin which is not very romantic to me.

If you want to spend a bit less than V&A, I have had great success at Bistro de Paris and bluezoo for having a quiet adult meal.

never have eaten at V&A but two places I'd recommend are Fultons and Bistro - both very, very good. Jiko and Flying Fish are also very good places.

I haven't been to V&A but I would guess that would be the most romantic.

However, of the other signature locations, I would pick in this order:
1. Citricos
2. Artist Point
3. CA Grill
4. Jiko

I think the decor in Citricos is classy, the food is good, and I didn't think it was loud at all. Artist Point the decor is simple, but if you can get a table at one of the windows, the view of the lake is nice. CA Grill can be loud, especially if you go near fireworks time and it is really crowded with the bar etc, but the view is great.

Jiko is also nice and has interesting decor and good food. However, I didn't care much for the view of people going to/from the pool (shirtless) or wrapped up in towels. It also go loud in there too from the people in the waiting area for Jiko/Boma. We were seated near the front of the restaurant so it might not be as bad toward the back.

thank you for all the suggestions!

Where is Artists Point?

I've heard the food at Cali Grill is hit or miss - if the food is overall good, I am a huge fireworks fan - so that may be a go.

Also - we'll be there during the Food & Wine festival -- has anyone done one of their 'round the world' dining specials? I've heard they are pricey - but wonder if it is worth it.

I never heard that Cali Grill is Hit or Miss. They food is great and the view is Awesome. They have the deck outside so you can view the fireworks from out there. For me it don't get better than this. In my opinion.

is at Wilderness Lodge. If you opt for AP, you can view Wishes from the beach at the resort. There is no music available. The change in view is interesting but I wouldn't do that for a first viewing.

The food at CG, in my opinion, is consistently good. I generally prefer the ambiance at AP. The food at AP is more traditional and at CG more progressive. (Not Alinea progressive though.) The food matches the designed setting for both.
