Are you supposed to let the travel agents know if you have a anniversary whilst your in DisneyWorld? Do you have to show proof such as your wedding certificate? do you get any nice little surprises if you do? :confused3

we are celebrating ours next month whilst at wdw and have been told there will be badges waiting for us. other than that i ll let you know:goodvibes

We mentioned that it was our anniversary when we checked in and got buttons to wear. Later in the week, in our room, they had a Happy Anniversary poster signed by some characters with Mardi Gras beads shaped into a heart. It was a fun surprise and made us feel special. We stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter.

Defiantly let them know, you never know how they might surprize you.

On our 5 year anniversary we had a room upgrade at the AKL and on our 10 year anniversary at POP &WL (split stay) we had the anniversary badges and endless cupcakes with our meals plus the special characters photos & balloons in our room.

We celebrated our 20th Anniversary last year, wore our badges the whole trip just about. We got the badges at check in(she asked us if we were celebrating anything) we got a cup cake & card at Crystal Palace and a glass of bubbly each at Turf Club grill. Just looking for any pics I have uploaded.

Here you go

We're going to POP on 9th Sept. On 10th, we will have been together for 17 years (as in bought a house, moved in together etc) Is it cheeky to class this as our Anniversary???

Everyones opinion differs on this, some say you should only celebrate your Birthday on the day, some say your anniversay just on the date you were married etc, others say celebrate the whole holiday as near as poss to the dates. When we checked in last year we told the truth, DS Birthday was before we arrived, anniversary after the holiday, the lady who checked us in gave us all badges (DS Birthday, us Anniversay) said while we were there we celebrate.
I am going to do same again this trip, 21 years of marriage, might be a bit cheeky as its a couple of days after we get home but I see it as I spend £1,000's & £1,000's with Disney, the least they can do is give me a badge, a card, a cup cake and a glass of bubbly(cost to them $5?) maybe I won't get anything, I don't mind as long as the cast members congratulate us and ask me how many years I am happy.
Celebrate you are on holiday.:thumbsup2

I can tell you we went on our Honeymoon and our First Anniversary for a week each time. During our Honeymoon we got several "gifts" from the CM's, a bottle of champagne during dinner one night, an upgarde at the Grand Floridian from a garden view to a Castle view. On our Anniversary we also got several "gifts", the most memorable of which was at the American pavilion, my DW  had her pin on and a CM acme over and asked what it was for. We told him and he told us he had something special for us. He had us make a call from a phone inside the pavilion and it was Mickey wishing us a Happy Anniversary. He also got us an apple cobbler form the dinning hall and then had The Voices of Liberty sing a song just for us. It was :woohoo: AWESOME!!!!! Basically, let them know it is a special time for you and they will do what they can for you, just don't EXPECT them to do things for you, just appreciate them when they do them.

Well i have to say I am expecting NOTHING from any body as although I adore Disney i got married at the weding Pavillion 2 yrs ago and stayed at the Pop for my honeymoon for 2wks and recieved nothing from anybody but a congratulations as we was wearing the pins that we asked to have!! cup cake would have been a nice touch
