DH and I are planning our first adults only trip and celebrating our anniversary while we are there. On the day of our anniversary we are going to MK that night for HEA and I would like a nice meal before we enter the park. Of the three mentioned which would you choose and why? We have been to CG before and loved it so I kind of want to try something new but at the same time I know CG is good!

We've been to all three and really enjoyed them all. Personally for an anniversary meal we thought Citricos was very special because (and this was a few years ago now so I'm not sure if they still do it) if you have it noted on your reservation, they give you personalised happy anniversary menus which are yours to keep as a memento. The CMs really made us feel special, even taking a photo and putting it in an anniversary card which was very thoughtful. The food was also lovely. We preferred food at Citricos and Narcoossees to Cali Grill just because we aren't big fans of the sushi that we had when we went there (although not sure if they still serve what we had)

ALL of these are wonderful - we go to each, every trip.

So - all PERSONAL opinion. We currently rank these in the order of:

1) California Grill
2) Citrico's
3) Narcoossee's

Now - you never mentioned what we would rank above the previous three. KILLER dining? Victoria & Albert's. Next one down? Shula's at the Dolphin. For us? Shula's just barely beats CG. V&A will be about a $400 per plate dinner. Shulas' will be about $150 per plate. CG will be about $$125 per plate.

We've been to all three and there is no doubt in our mind that the more romantic restaurant for an anniversary dinner would be Citrico. Narcoossee is also a good choice, but not quite as intimate. CG would be nice for the view/fireworks but otherwise not a good choice from the romantic setting. Food and service wise I'd go with Citrico.

Agree with @Dean Marino above that V&A would be the ultimate. Can the OP change their HEA plans?

Cali Grill would be my choice for food and atmosphere. We've had quite mediocre food at Narcoosees and while Citricos is good, the atmosphere is a bit bland, IMHO.

Would you consider Artist Point at WL? The food and atmosphere are really lovely and you'd just be a romantic boat ride away from MK!

We had a lovely anniversary dinner at Artist Point in May. :) This is a nice, relaxing place to eat. It isn't noisy like Narcoossee's.

We also ate dinner at Citrico's earlier this month and really enjoyed it. The monorail would make it an easy trip to MK that night.

Narcoossee's is fine but not for an anniversary dinner. The restaurant is too noisy and casual for a romantic dinner. :)

I checked for a V&A ADR online but there were none available. That was my first choice. I noticed your profile name. We are staying at OKW for the first time. I'm super excited about the whole trip!

:offtopic: except that this is the restaurants board... Have you eaten at Olivia's? I'm considering it for one night on our trip in a couple of weeks. Menu looks intriguing. I'm deciding between Olivia's and Raglan Road- any opinion/recommendation?

Yes, we've eaten at Olivias several times. We now live very near the parks so I haven't stayed at OKW in a while. Whenever we did eat there we really enjoyed the meal. Its reasonably priced (for Disney) and the food is good.

Between Olivias and RR, they are pretty different in atmosphere and food. I'm not a RR fan (gasp!) so my choice would be Olivias every time.

SInce you've been to CG, I would say Narcoosee. I adore it. The food is good, not CG good but good. The corn soufflé will bring a little tear. The butter poached lobster is heaven, the ahi is truly flavorful, and DO NOT skip the almond crusted cheesecake (just trust me) I love the ambiance; it reminds of Dirty Dancing, like a CC on the east coast throw back. Time it right and ask for a lake view to see the water parade. The little stroll though the VGF grounds after when its empty. Just magic.

CG is bomb, and you cant go wrong. Citricos is good but it has a nice hotel vibe and the food isn't better than Narcoosee's.

All three are great, cant go wrong!
