Anniversary Magic...please share your ideas!

We went for our 22nd anniversary in September (our first no kids trip in many years). I had order a gift box from the pixie dust people with goodies for two in it (mickey wine glasses, sparkling cider, bride and groom ears, etc). We also got the special buttons in the parks. Everyone told us congratulations when we were wearing those. Then the evening of our anniversary we ate at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Our TA ordered a mini wedding cake for me. It was so cute and so yummy. We were on the DDP, so I was told it was $25 for the cake (no problem, had planned that), but when the bill came, they just said it was our 'desert' and no charge. It was so nice.

How do I find these pixie dust people? Also, we'll be celebrating our anniversary in December, but it's actually in August. Can we still say it's our anniversary and get the buttons and stuff?

We are celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary this May
staying at Saratoga and doing dinner at California Grill. We did my 5oth bday last a coupld of weeks ago and did dinner at Narcoosees....

What a great thread! We are going for our 32 Anni. this year at the Poly. And we are going whole hog on everything. Why not! LVC for starters at the Poly and cant wait to stay there. I have an idea to fill our room with flowers and pre-order champagne and Mickey glasses. Can that be done? I just want this to be so special for us. So am looking forward to reading all of your ideas. A cake would be a good idea...baloons...hhmmmm.

Hi! I'm the OP. Just wanted to share what I've planned so far:

We're staying at WL which closely resembles the area where we took our honeymoon - Banff, Alberta, Canada. We like it because it is very rustic, outdoorsy, etc. So our accommodations will be a throwback to the honeymoon. Next, we decided to have our anniversary dinner at Le Cellier which, of course, is in Canada in EPCOT. Another little homage to the honeymoon. Natually, we plan to pick up the "Happy Anniversary" buttons from Guest Relations as soon as we hit the MK on our first day. 90 days out, I'm going to try like mad to book a specialty cruise for EPCOT for Illuminations...either that or hitch my wagon to another's train, so to speak, and share a cruise. I think that would be UBER cool for our anniversary.

Please keep the other ideas coming...we've got 6 days and 5 nights to fill with romantic anniversary ideas. And I'm glad this thread has helped others gather ideas too!

Happy Anniversary to all of you who read this thread, whenever your special day occurs!

Dh and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary just this past November staying at Wilderness Lodge. The Lodge sent us an Anniversary Card and we celebrated with a dinner at Coral Reef where they made us personalized menus and I had arranged a banner to be brought down by the divers wishing my hubby a Happy Anniversary, he was quite moved, and the entire restaurant wished us a Happy Anniversary. Enjoy!!!

We celebrated our Anniversary last year at WDW. DH ordered me flowers and a balloon that was delivered to our resort room. The flowers were beautiful and lasted our entire 10 night stay.

We go our buttons at the MK and wore them all day. We also did a few nice meals.

We celebrated our 25th with dinner at Victoria & Alberts. We also spent a little extra on a limo for transportation for the night. It was a wonderful night.

We went to Disney on our honeymoon and for our first anniversary. We are also going again this year for our second anniversary! We cannot wait. Here are some special things we have done:

Dinner at Victoria and Alberts

Small castle cake for 2 was presented at Narcoossee’s Restaurant

Hubby worked with GF staff who put rose petals in bathtub and balloons all over room (honeymoon)

Husband had room service set up wine and cheese while we were out one night. That was a great surprise when we returned back to the room. (1st anniversary)

* Make sure that the person booking the trip notes that it is your anniversary in the computer. Last year, many of the restaurants did special things like personalized menus, roses, champagne, etc.

Where do you get the anniversary buttons? Magic Kingdom? Where?

thanks!!

Ms. H

Aside from the wonderful dinner ideas, I also want to suggest hiring a professional photograher. We celebrated our 20th annv at DW five years ago and hired Randy Chapman, a local photographer, to take photos of us. It was the most fabulous gift we gave ourselves. When we got married, we were dirt poor and our wedding was small with a bad photographer so didn't have any professional photos of the two of us. Randy spent three hours with us in Epcot and we got over 150 photos (and negatives) and they are fabulous!!

We are celebrating our 25th this year in November and are taking our daughter for one week and then we'll have a week to ourselves. We are having Randy take family photos again this year.

How much was it for the photographer if you dont mind me asking? Also with allt he photopass photographers is it worth hiring a photographer?

I'd also like to know about the pricing for the photographer. I love the idea of having family photos done there. Do you have his contact info?
Thanks so much for that wonderful idea!!!!
