I am not sure where to post this but I need ideas. My dh and I will be at POR in 26 days. He just turned 50 and I will be 50 in a couple of weeks. We are also celebrating 31 years of marriage. What I would like to have help with is do we go celebrating our birthday or our anniversary? If so what ideas do you have for us? Are there Mickey ears that say "Happy Anniversary" or what. This has been a difficult year as my mother just recently passed away and dh was awesome during her illness and death. I would really like to make this special for him. HELP!!!!!! I am interested in any and all suggestions. Thank you!:surfweb:

You could have a gift basket made for him with some of his favorite disney stuff and have it delivered as a surprise to the room. I plan to have a gift basket made for my husband when we go for our anniversary trip in May. You could also have order a cake at some restaurant you are going to have that brought out for dessert.

Thank you! Great ideas. What would you put in the basket? I call my husband Eyeore and even put an Eyeore attenta thing on his car. He keeps saying when he goes hunting he will take it down but he never does. LOL

I don't know what your budget is or what the availability might be, but Victoria and Alberts for dinner would be on my list.

Have a wonderful trip!

A lot of the places that make gift baskets will do them to order. So if you tell them you want an eeyore basket, I imagine they'll make one so themed. I haven't actually ordered a gift basket to have delivered to WDW yet just FYI. So I have no real recommendations on who to go with. I was considering trying Memories by Sarah as she seems to get a lot of thumbs up on these forums.

If you plan on making any ADR's during your stay maybe order a cake. Here is a link to more information about ordering cakes and phone numbers:

You can also work with Disney florists to put together a nice basket. I did that in the past and they did a wonderful job (although a little on the expensive side). It was totally worth it!

There are also Disney tours - Segway, Keys to the Kingdom (Keys was really good), and there are many others. Here is more information: http://allearsnet.com/btp/tours.htm -- although not super romantic they are a lot of fun.

What is your price range on the suprise? That might help others that are giving suggestions.

I hope some of this is helpful to you - - BTW -- Happy Anniversary! :goodvibes

I don't know what your budget its but you could take a fireworks cruise. They have specialty ones that include balloons and a banner (saying which ever you would like Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary) snacks and drinks. We did this for my parents 40th Anniversary. They loved it.

You can also try a romantic cruise aboard a yacht. You can contact one of the Disney recreation CM and they can put in contact with alot of different people.

There is also a way to arrange a special dinner at Grand Floridian at either Citrico's or Victoria & Alberts. I heard of one guest having private dining with a view of the fireworks.

One thing to remember it never hurts to mention it is your anniversary everywhere you go. You never know what someone might do.

Celebrate Both. For a Birthday surprise for my wife I secretly extended a 7 night stay to 10 nights. When she was feeling down on the last night because we were leaving in the morning, I told her of my surprise. You would have thought she won the lottery. She was extremely surprised and happy to say the least.

Great idea! I think we will celebrate both. This has been an extremely bad year (mom passed away) so maybe we could use a great dose of pixie dust!
