Apologizes if this is in the wrong section. My hubby and I will be at WDW in a few weeks for our 10th wedding anniversary (time flies when you are having fun!).
Any ideas for anniversary gifts? I want to get him something at WDW (we will be at MK and MGM). Just wondering if you have come across any really cool ideas for gifts.
Thanks!

Could the two of you have a special dinner somewhere or maybe book a tour? I know my DH would love the Segway tour and I think I am going to book it for our next trip and it will be one of his Christmas gifts. I'm sure someone on here could give you some ideas. I have never spent my anniversary there yet but that is a wish of mine someday. Hope you have a great trip!

is it in August? our 10 yr anniversary is August 26th! and yes it sure does fly by fast when having fun!!

i know if you call the 1-407-WDISNEY, you can probably click for any of the lines, just ask them about things that you can have sent to your room, like before you arrive, or something special being brought to the table of one of your AR's. I know when we went last time, Sept. 2003, we did Chef Mickey's for breakfast and since it was dh's birthday that day, they brought him a cupcake, placemat, and a pin. they asked me on the phone when i made my AR if we had anything special going on when we would be visiting, and since I didn't have the funds at the time to do anything else for him while there, he was surprised that he had this done for him, and it didn't cost me anything extra.

hope this might help a little bit, and have a great anniversary and trip,

My dh is addicted to Cirque du Soleil. If you don't have tickets yet check it out. It's fabulous. I did a scavenger hunt through Gifts of a Lifetime (google it) for DH last November it was pricey but unforgettable. Have a blast!

Again, Happy Anniversary!!

My DW blew me away with a B-day gift at the world with a suprise cake at dinner. B-Day card that was "left" in room was the notification of a Segway Tour as a gift. I am sure that when you booked through CRO you told them it was your Anniversary, if not do so. It is a nice suprise. One special thing we did was a drink at the Poly on the beach watching the Electrical Magical Parade, maybe put that on your schedule. Very Romantic.

Lastly, make sure you ask at Guest Relations for a Anniv / Special Day Button to wear.

Congrats

We are celebrating our anniversary at WDW in October. Our special anniversary treat is dinner at V&A's.

Two years ago we were there for our anniversary, and decided to wait until we got to the parks, and then buy each other gifts. A few days into our trip (after spying what the other might like), we split up at Epcot for an hour or two, and then met back at our room at the Boardwalk to present each other with our gifts. It was fun to pick out Disney themed gifts for each other, and to see what DH choose for me. He got me earrings and a necklace - with Mickey heads in pearls.

We enjoyed it so much, that we agreed to do that again this year. :cloud9:

How about a carriage ride thru Fort Wilderness? Book it after dark and they light lanterns on the carriage. Very Nice

Thanks guys and please keep these ideas coming!
I know a lot of people have suggested tours. Is there a list of Disney tours that I can check out?
Not sure what he would like but a tour is a great idea. Also, buying a fun anniversary gift at the park is a cool idea!

Hello! We were there in December with DS's 10 and 13 for our 15th. We are a very close family and do not tend to do much without them.

While they watched a parade I went into the jewlers on Main Street and "put together" a watch for him. It was $100.00 but well worth it. He prefers black so I did the black band, with black face background. Face of the watch is gold and the engraved part is also gold. In the center is the castle. Up top it has our names and down bottom it has '89 and '04.

I think it came out very nice. We did have to have delivered the next day as I bought it so late

Something that he will have for years as he only wears it for dress up and when we go out to eat.

Another idea for you :earsboy: :earsgirl:

We are going in August and celebrating our anniversary, I went slightly overboard with extras this year, I signed my husband up for Divequest, I got tickets for Cirque for all of us, and have dinner planned at Narcossee's on our anniversary day.....
Yeah....

How about some glasses at any of the crystal places in the parks? We did that on our honeymoon and had that day's date etched on them. It wasn't our wedding date but when we were together at Disney World. They'll do just about anything with the glasses. Turned out very nice. Until the cats broke them almost exactly 20 years later.

Another great gift that I got for my husband was for Father's Day. Our son is grown and gone (but we have a fantastic granddaughter and daughter-in-law). So our children are our cats. There was a very nice figure of Roo sleeping contentedly in Pooh's lap while they were in a rocking chair. Exactly the same pose as our fat cat sleeping with my husband on the couch. Snatched that up immediately.

Torontogal,

Congratulations, and also a big Welcome to the DVC!

For a list of the tours and their descriptions, go to:

DW & I have done the Backstage Magic and the Keys to the Kingdom Tours, and both of them were fabulous. I'm sure any one you pick will be just as good.

You could arrange at the resort shop to send to the room one gift per day of your DH's favorite character. A t-shirt, pin, hat, etc. would be examples. Also, if you make any dining reservations (they used to be called PS's, but now are ADR's), tell them and they will do something a little special for you.

Hope this helps. Have a Magical and Romantic Anniversary Trip!

My DH is a huge nascar fan. We are going to wdw for our 19th ann. I got a gift certificate (with the help of my mom) for the Richard Petty Driving school. I know he will be thrilled. We are not far away from the Dover Speedway, and he has talked about doing the driving program there, but he was never will to splurge and pay the price. I can not wait to see the look on his face. :flower:

Good luck. I am sure you will find something unique just for him! :wave2:

Sounds like a cool idea. Mind me asking how much this cost?
My hubby is not a nascar fan but loves cars (what guy doesn't?). This may be something really fun. Is it located in Orlando?

My husband and I are celebrating our first anniversary at WDW in September, so keep the ideas coming - they are great! :flower:

The ride along program is $99. This is what my husband is doing since he does not know how to drive stick. They also have programs where you drive the car. Prices start at $379 and go up from there. The speedway is located on Disney property. Check out www.1800bepetty.com

DH and I will be going without the kids this August for our 15th anniversary from the 13th-18th. I have planned the following;
1. Cirque tickets
2. Keys to the Kingdom Tour
3. Wildlife Discovery Excursion Tour
4. Concierge level room at BWI
5. Dinner at the Yachtsman on our anniversary with a mini wedding cake
6. Breathless Illuminations Cruise on our anniversary
7. A one hour photo session in the Magic Kingdom with a Disney photographer.
8. Dinner one night at CRT
I have also gotten some pins for us in advance, I am sure I will do more, just not sure what yet!
