My parents' anniversary is on July 14th and we leave for Disney World on the 26th! I thought it would be nice to give them tickets to something amazing, make reservations for them or do some kind of priority fireworks viewings, etc. I'm not really sure what things are available or what Disney offers that I can purchase for them! Does anyone have any ideas? What could I do for them that would be really magical?

TIA! :tinker:

:) I recommend CA Grill with FW viewing.

We just did this in January to celebrate my Dad's 75th birthday. We booked a premium celebration fireworks cruise. We went out of the Contemporary Resort(not the only resort to leave from) and went on a party boat (you can get it all decorated with a cake and sodas etc.) we went on the Seven Seas Lagoon and the Lake with a great tour guide and then when "Wishes" started we stopped the boat and watched the show with the special music piped onto the boat. It was great and our tour guide made it very special. It cost about $325-. Have fun!!!

How do you book special fireworks viewing like that? (with the CA grill or the cruise?) I can't seem to find a link on their website!

::yes:: When you call for ADR for CA Grill ask the CM what time the fireworks will happen, they always know and they can help you pick a time. For instance we are eating there this trip 12/7 at 7:35 p.m. and FW are at 9:30. The wait staff are very good about getting you out to the balcony in time and allow you to watch the whole thing. Enjoy planning for them.:wizard:

Just as an extra, if you're having ADR's at any Disney park or resort, you could call the cake hotline 407-827-2253 and have a cake delivered to their table. I called to have one delivered to my family's table for our dinner at Narcoosee's. There's a whole thread on the restaurant forum for all the lovely cakes people have ordered. There's tons of info over there.

My inlaws just celebrated their anniversary in May and they went to the HDR and said it was wonderful. They gave them upfront seating, dedicated a dance to them and provided them with a a special dessert as well. Another bit of Disney magic!

Depending on the health and how adventorous your parents are, you can book them a tandem para-sailing trip from the marina at Contemporary resort. My mother always wanted to try, so I got this for her 60th birthday! She loved it, and the view from up there.

We just returned from WDW where we celebrated my parent's 41st anniversary. When making dinner reservations, I told the CM that we were celebrating this trip and every meal had a special surprise for them - all week long! As a gift, we surprised them with the Segway Tour Around the World at Epcot on 6/9 at 7:45 am. It was the highlight of their vacation! They are still talking about how much they enjoyed this tour and I am so happy that I did it for them. We took them to Boma on their anniversary and had a lovely dinner and Boma CM's surprised them with a beautiful dessert board with chocolate covered strawberries and little lava cakes. It was beautiful! They felt really special in Disney while celebrating.

We booked the Epcot Segway Tour for my in-laws anniversary. We are going in July and they are looking forward to it.

Besides trying something new, maybe your folks would like to revisit something from long ago that brings back happy memories. Our family saw Hoop de Doo Musical review 30 yrs ago. My parents went again a few yrs ago and loved it, in part because they remembered the great time we had as a family.
