DH and I are having a horrible time picking a restaurant for our anniversary dinner. I could really use some help and input.

Here are the facts:
1. _We will be at the Poly LV Concierge from Dec. 16th to 21st.
2. _This trip is just DH and I (leaving the kids at home!)
3. _We booked a package with the silver add-on package.
4. _On the day of our anniversary (Dec. 18th) we have tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party so we are going to want an early seating.
5. _We are not the very formal sort of couple (V & A's is out) but we would like it to be nice.

We have been considering several restaurants but need more information on them to make our decision. _Restaurants we are considering:
1. _Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show (5:00 seating) - we have heard the food is just okay and that the 5:00 show is noisy with a lot of kids.
2. _Cinderella's Royal Table - not sure if it will be open before MVMCP
3. _L'Originale Alfredo of Rome
4. _San Angel Inn
5. _Teppenyaki Dining
6. _Bistro de Paris
7. _LeCellier Steakhouse
8. _'Ohana
9. _Citricos

I would love to hear anything about any of these restaurants and what your pick would be. _Thank you for your help!

Of your choices I'd probably pick Citricos. If you're going over to the MK after dinner, I would just stay in the monorail loop. Have you considered California Grill or Narcoossee's? Two more great places to celebrate.

However, I've never gone to that party and know nothing about the timing. Would you have time for a nice meal and still make it to the party early enough to get good value? I'm sure others can advise you.

If I were you, I would rule out the Epcot restaurants, because you may not feel like doing all that running around before the party at MK.

Citricos sounds good! Not too formal, but nice! I've heard good reports about it too, but we haven't had the chance to eat there yet ourselves.

Not that I have had the pleasure but I have heard that having ressies at The California Grill at the Contemporary around the time that the sun sets and when they do the fireworks at MK is really really nice.

IF you have never tried the Kona Cafe at the Poly you might want to. It may look like a cafeteria but the food is great, the service splendid, and the desserts are heavenly! We just got back from WDW today, and the Kona by far had the best food!

Well, I would recommend Citricos - but NOT on the same night as MVMCP.

Since it is a Thursday, MVMCP might not be that crowded. But since you have UPH tickets, I would recommend getting to the MK between 5 and 5:30 and go to tomorrowland when the park closes at 6:00.
During that time, get your picture taken at COP. You will be ready for MVMCP when it starts at 7:00. If you're lucky, there will be one or two unscheduled shows going on between 6 and 7.

If you have dinner, the earliest PS will be 5:00. If you want a nice dinner, it will take two hours and by the time you get to MK there will be lines for everything.

BTW, I don't believe there are fireworks before the park closes (AT 6) on MVMCP nights. So, going to the CG for the fireworks may not work out.

My DH and I had dinner at CRT and we enjoyed it very much. We both had prime rib and the food was good. It was also very convenient to eat right there in the MK. We enjoyed not having to dress up, but still enjoy a good meal in a pretty setting. I would shoot for CRT.

It's on my list for next time but I haven't actually been myself - California Grill. I saw some pictures on a trip report post on the trip reports board and the view is INCREDIBLE! Can't say anthing about the food but you could check out the menu (which I think does change) at http://www.wdwig.com. Then you could just take the monorail around to the MK.

Since you have the silver plan and you are planning to use most of your wishes for meals, you can probably go to most of your choices......

But for an anniversary dinner, I would recommend either Le Cellier or CRT. But you are probably going to want to stay in/near the MK.

My DH and I had dinner at Citricos last year for our anniversary and it was fantastic! The food was incredible (filet mignon for both, I think), and the dessert was spectacular! We enjoyed the view and the service was second to none. Definitely a good place for an anniversary!

Citrico's is marvelous, but doesn't open until 6:00pm, and dining there is about a 1 1/2-2 hour experience, so not a good choice on the night of the VMCP.

Another problem with dining at Citrico's on the same night is that they do have a dress code, (I cut and pasted this from the concierge email I got after making a reservation there):

Dress Code-Dressy casual
Collared shirt prefered for gentlemen. No tank tops, t-shirts, cut offs or jeans.

You probably wouldn't want to wear the same clothes that you wear to dinner to the MK after.

Why not do the Kona cafe for dinner that night, excellent food and service, and very convenient in a casual atmosphere, and then do Citrico's the next night.
