We have a trip planned for our 25th Anniversary in May. I'm trying to figure out what restaurant to reserve for dinner on our actual anniversary. We want something special that we wouldn't do on a regular trip, but we're not fancy. Victoria & Albert's is already ruled out because it's just not us, and we are not wine drinkers, so that's not a factor in a choice. I know everyone will have different faves and choices, but I was hoping y'all could help me. Where would you book and why would you choose that restaurant? TIA!

Out of the ones that are open now, here are some good ones we always go to

California Grill
Narcoossee’s
Ale and Compass
Topolino’s Terrace
Il Mulino

CA Grill would be a good choice, but after our last trip and meal at The Wave I wouldn't hesitate to go there. Like you we're not into fancy but we want to have a great meal without sticker shock too.

I would highly recommend Yachtsman. The atmosphere matches what you're looking for. If you want an immersive experience, I love Jiko.

California Grill or Tiffins.

Both have excellent food. The pork at Cali Grill has been on the menu since it opened eons ago. That's how good it is.

Tiffins' food is awesome too and it's usually not too crowded. It's a true gem in AK.

California Grill - beautiful view of MK
Tiffins - great food
Jiko (if its open) - love the food and decor
Il Mulino - best Italian at WDW
Toppolinos (haven't tried this yet, but the reviews have been good and looking forward to it)

Thanks, everyone! I think we're going to try Cali Grill for our special meal. Looking forward to it!

Excellent choice. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal there. And if by chance fireworks are back by the time you go, it becomes a special place.

Great Choice,

DH and I have had a Valentines, and Anniversary meal there... We requested a corner table when making the ADR, for our Anniversary, and timed it for fireworks... Since there are no fireworks at this time that's kinda up in the air... We have also done brunch, and it was really nice.

If the fireworks are back at that time, dinner during the fireworks is a great experience.
If not, you can come back later to watch the fireworks from their balconies.
