dh and i are going to the world in aug, for our anniversary. what can i expect if i let cast members know it is our anniversary? also need a good place for dinner . thanks

We were at WDW for our 20th anniversary. Even though Boma has the buffet, the server let the chef know it was our anniversary and they brought us a dessert tray with Happy Anniversary spelled out in chocolate :goodvibes We also got a happy anniversary card signed by most of the staff at BOMA.

Le Cellier did something similar with their dessert sampler. The extra magic here revolved around my DHs wedding ring. He had to have it repaired, so hadn't been wearing it. I snuck it to the jeweler, got it fixed and then snuck it on the trip. When we got to LeCellier, I excused myself to use the ladies room and found our server. I told her I was going to order the dessert sampler, but could she make sure that she placed it in front of my DH and would they put his wedding ring on the plate? :lovestruc

When the plate came out, not only did it have the ring, but Happy 20th Anniversary in chocolate syrup. At first glance, DH thought the ring was a decorative one and started to comment on how cool it looked, then he realized it was HIS RING!! :rolleyes1

I would suggest that you ask that your anniversary be put on your ADRs, mention your anniversary when you check in at the restaurant and get the Happy Anniversary buttons. Even if you just get good wishes from the cast members, it is a ball.

I took my grandparents to le cellier for their 65th... and for desert, they got one of every desert. the chocolate filled chocolate covered in chocolate was a big hit.

As others mentioned- we got dessert trays at Boma and LeCellier. Chef Mickey's gave us the mats and cake. The best treat was at the castle- we got etched champagne flutes.

We are going this year (in 25 days!!!!!) to celebrate my DH's 60th b'day and our 31st wedding anniversary (we tried to get there last year but no luck) and we are going back to the California Grill at the Contemporary. :thumbsup2 Just by accident, the last time we were there it was for my DH's birthday too and just as we were finishing our meal, Wishes exploded in the night, almost like I had ordered fireworks especially for him. It was really great!

This year I've got an ADR for California Grill and hopefully we can get a good spot for Wishes. I made the ressie and mentioned his b'day, hopefully we'll get a little pixie dust on that night too:cool1: :woohoo:pixiedust:
