Anniversary dinner

Any suggestions for a great and romantic dinner spot? We are going in a few weeks and will be on DDP- we're open to a non-participating restaurant though! Can't wait to hear your suggestions! Thanks!

I asked the same question a few months back as we'll be celebrating our anniversary on our upcoming trip as well.
I got a lot of different responses, and among them the California Grill sounded the best. I've read a lot of good reviews about it, so that's where we're booked. No only were the food reviews good, but you might be able to catch Wishes if you time your meal right.

Hey there, fellow Stratford-ite!

My answer would depend on how much you are looking to spend. The best and most romantic dining spot on site is Victoria & Albert's -- just happens to also be the most expensive (and would be OOP).

If you are looking for something that would be a bit less expensive, then might I throw out the California Grill -- but request the Wine Room (not the main dining room). It is much quieter and romantic IMO.

Maybe not as romantic as V&A or Calif. Grill, but we had a lovely meal at Rose & Crown Pub on our anniversary trip. We ate outside, got to view Illuminations, and when the staff found out it was our anniversary not only did we get a free dessert sampler but they seranaded us with "All You Need is Love" by The Beatles.

It was a wonderful and memorable experience! I also forgot to mention the whole wait staff signed a Magical Moments certificate. It was probably our best meal that trip because of all the staff did!

We loved Artist Point to celebrate our 25th anniversary. DH and DDIL celebrated their first anniversary at California Grill, and they thought it was rather loud and bustling.

We're going to celebrate #22 at Cape May - we wanted something different, sorta low key and a restaurant we hadn't visited before. We've never been to the Boardwalk area, so that will be perfect too. Enjoy your anniversary celebration!!
