Anniversary Dinner ideas?

DH & I are going to WDW in August to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I'm trying to think of a good place for us to go for dinner. I'd rather not go to a place that's going to cost us over $50 per person for the meal (not including drinks). I'd like to eat something kind of light myself, but not salads so much, I love chicken, though! I'm very susceptible to food borne illnesses, due to meds, and I want to pick a place where I won't end up sick and ruin the rest of the night! (Last trip I ended up sick from a burger I ate at Peco's Bills and had to leave MVMCP! But the 4 other people who were with me and ate the same thing were fine.) DH likes almost everything he's tried at WDW, except the meatloaf at Wolfgang Puck's. We will be moving from BWV to POFQ that day, in the morning, but will have a car, so getting around won't be a problem. We thought about going to the luau at Poly, but decided against it when we settled on our sentimental favorite resort for the weekend, instead of Poly. (We don't want a long, late trip back to the room at the end of the night!!!) Thanks for ideas!

We love Le Cellier in Epcot and I think you could stay under $50/person......California Grill is awesome but a little pricy.....those would be me top two suggestions

Teppanyaki at Japan? Food prepared right in front of you. Maybe not that romantic but the two of you could sit on one side and be kind of by yourself. They have chicken, beef, shrimp, and combos. Coral Reef is another choice. More romantic. Alfredo's might be an option although I didn't like their service.

Brown Derby at MGM although I've never been. I know people will suggest California Grill but that was expensive for us and a bit noisier than what I expected.

All our other choices are really red meat based.

There is a restaurant at Riverside (formerly Dixie Landings) called Boatwrights. We love it there and it won't break the bank either When we Honeymooned we ate there almost every night and usually visit at least once when we visit on trips now.

Our two aniversery dinners are Jiko (though it was moved to a different date) which should fit in your price range of 50$ a person most likely. Our main aniversery dinner though will be Cinderella's Castle we are having a really late dinner so that we can hopefully watch Wishes from within the castle. We did Cinderella's Castle on our honeymoon as well so it is sort of a tradition and it may not be the "best" food in Disney, but we think it is a lot of fun to sit in the castle and watch the fireworks going off outside the window.

A couple of nice places for an anniversary dinner are Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge; and the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. You should be able to get a very nice meal at either of them for less than $50 per person without drinks. Of course you could also spend more.

The reason I like both is for the atmosphere. Yachtsman is a nice, refined kind of place - take a nice walk along the lake afterward. Artist Point has a very different feel, but still elegant. Take a walk down to the waterfront afterward and wait for the gyser to go off on the hour.

If I were choosing for our anniversary dinner, I'd have a hard time choosing from the following:

Artist Point
California Grill
Cinderella Royal Table
Citrico's
Grand Floridian Cafe
Le Cellier

And I'd probably end up w/ CRT just for sentimental reasons - for me, nothing beats eating in the castle - especially if I were sitting at a table by window & timed it closely w/ Wishes.

I would suggest Jiko at the AKL. It is our favorite place to dine at WDW.
