Hi everyone :goodvibes
It's coming up to mine and Pete's 1st wedding anniversary :cloud9: and we are so excited to be going back to Disney for it. We wanted to get an anniversary cake made and set to our room. Dose anyone know about how much this would cost and if it's easy to do?
Thank alot

Yes! But it depends on where you are staying or dining. There are only certain Deluxe resorts that are equipped with bakeries that can make fancy, fondant-covered cakes.

All the info is in the first post of the Cake Chatter thread on the Restaurants board, but basically only the Grand Floridian, Yacht & Beach Club, BoardWalk Inn and Contemporary do wedding cake replicas. Animal Kingdom Lodge *may* be able to do it (people have had mixed results with their cakes). If you're staying at the Poly or Wilderness Lodge, you can call Private Dining at the Contemporary and see if they'll make a cake for you and send it over to your resort.

If you're staying anywhere else, your best bet is to have the cake delivered to a restaurant at one of the aforementioned Deluxe resorts. For that, you can call the Cake Hotline (listed on that thread I linked to) or Private Dining at the resort.

I know this sounds complicated, but WDW is a huge place, and they still don't have a very coordinated system for getting anything other than the standard supermarket-style cakes available at the podium of Disney restaurants. :thumbsup2

Is it seriously coming up to a year since your wedding?!?! That's crazy! :lmao:

Call Pat At the Grand if your dining there. The same person who made your Happily Ever After 2 tier is still there, and has pictures on file. Just let her know your original wedding date for reference. Pat can get a quote after she knows if you want the castle silk screen with the hand painted silver scrollwork, or something more simple.

My year anniversary just passed a few days ago. Even though we couldn't be at Disney, and I can't really answer your questions about getting a cake there, I was just so happy that he went out and thought of doing this. I just wanted to share!
