We will be spending 1 day/night at DLfor our Anniversary in early May and was hoping for some tips/ideas on how best to spend our time or just things that we should not miss. We have both been before but it's been 10+ years ago. This is kind of a last minute add to a vacation we had already planned, but we had some extra DVC points we needed to use up so we figured we could use them this way(since I apparently don't post enough to qualify for renting privileges on the boards :surfweb: ). But anyway ...any help would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking Napa Rose for Dinner, but that might be tough given it is Mother's Day -another option might be to grab a nice Lunch(maybe late) then head to Napa Rose for apps/wine later in the night. How would the nightlife be on a Sunday night? Thanks in advance for the help.

I was thinking Napa Rose too...call dining and see what they have left for reservations. Also, inside DGC is the Hearthstone lounge. Its a nice, quiet and cozy place to have a drink.

The Hearthstone Lounge also has some food offerings as well, in case you feel like bypassing Napa Rose altogether. Disney Parks Blog on Resort Lounges

I think if you opt for a later dinner, you probably won't be dealing with too many people at Napa Rose (since people will have eaten on the early side for their kids' sake [whether it's offspring or grandkids or nieces/nephews/younger cousins] or to quick eat before having to hit the road or watch WoC/F!).

Be sure to pick up your "Happy Anniversary" pins (they are a cute keepsake if nothing else) and I would recommend looking into doing something that you've never done before, like riding in the Lily Belle if it's out.

Happy Anniversary! :lovestruc

Hubby and I just celebrated our anniversary in Disneyland in February. We had a great time. We did the Chef's Counter at Napa Rose and it was a blast, but it also took almost 3 hours! So, if you only have one day, I would say have wine and apps in the lounge. It is very cozy there. We also enjoyed having cocktails and apps upstairs from the Wine Country Trattoria (someone help me with the name!), yummy drinks and so nice sitting outside with your significant other..

Like everyone else, I think Napa Rose is a great idea! I don't know if you plan on going to the parks or not, but I would try to catch the new World of Color show at California Adventures. If you can't dine at Napa Rose maybe do a dining package for World of Color. Congrats on your Anniversary!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and congrats. We will be going into Disneyland for the day then were looking for something to do at night -I think Napa Rose will do it, possibly the lounge then on to something else later on. I appreciate the help!
