Ive booked CRT for dinner on September 24th, they asked if it was for a special occasion, I said it was our 2nd wedding anniversary.

Will we receive anything special??:confused3

We had our honeymoon at WDW in 2006, and never received any special treatment, in resort, or parks etc, usually just congrats (as we had our badges on).

xx

Dh and I celebrated our first anniversary there last year. They sat us in the center table in front of the windows and decorated our table and gave us two free champagn flutes and a cupcake with a candle in it.

Dh and I went for our 10th anniversary a couple of years ago and noted it in our reservations. I didn't think they were going to do anything, but at the very end of our meal, the waiter wished us happy anniversary and brought us 2 CRT champagne flutes and a Magical Moments certificate. It was very exciting!! :wizard: They also sat us at a very nice table next to the window overlooking Fantasyland, but I don't know if that was just luck.

But I've heard others who got more (table decorations, dessert, etc.) and others who got nothing. So it just depends, I guess.

This is not the restaurant it used to be. The food is just awful and overpriced. The recent podcast review might be something you check out. I would suggest someplace else. California grill would be a nice place with a wonderful view and much better food.

They aren't giving out the flutes for free anymore. Now it's $14 if you want to keep them, or $7 just to drink from them!

We ate there on our honeymoon, before the policy changed. We got the flutes but no cupcake. However, we also got to sit at the best seat in the house, right against the middle window, with a fabulous view of the fireworks. So there is still some free pixie dust to be had! :goodvibes

My inlaws got the free flutes too for their 50th wedding anniversary too. It was pretty cool!

We went there two years in a row and received flutes both years and sat at the table for two overlooking Fantasyland during the fireworks. Kinda shocked me when a guy walked out on the roof after the fireworks to check for fires I guess? We wen't this last April and found the food not so good. Probably won't go there again for a while.

Has this happened in the past few months? When DW and I were there for our anniversary in February, we were still given a set of flutes. We were quite surprised; it was at breakfast, and our man servant conspired with the table full of young princesses beside us to give them to us.

We were told about the $14 charge last September and expected to pay, but the nice server gave them to us for free in the end because he forgot the toast. I believe if you pre-arrange the toast, you will be charged. If you get the flutes themselves as a bit of pixie dust, they will be free but going in with the expectation of being gifted them is asking for disappointment. Pay for it if you want to guarantee them.

They decorated the table with confetti but that was the only free celebratory thing they did. My DH paid for the slipper mousse dessert and a glass engraved skipper which were delivered with much fanfare. It was a wonderful experience.

We're celebrating our tenth anniversary there next month. A window table is all we're hoping for.

Apparently they began enforcing it in June. I spoke directly with the special events manager at CRT, and she told me they are no longer complimentary.

We were also there in February, on our honeymoon. Looks like you and I were among the last to get the freebies! :goodvibes

I did not know about the champange flutes. We do plan on ordering the slipper mousse dessert and a glass engraved skipper for our 25th anniversary when we go back in 2010.

I wonder if we could get white zinfedel instead of champange in the flutes.

We would pay the extra.

Does anyone have a pic of their glasses? I was thinking of ordering them for our Anniversary Breakfast... :thanks:

Here you go!

We just went there on our hmoon, were seated near the window, had confetti on our table, and were given free flutes.

That's great to know! Perhaps it is still up to the discretion of the server whether to let you have the flutes for free - which means there's still a chance for others to get this kind of pixie dust! :goodvibes

Thanks lurkyloo! I've looked at your pictures and a few of your posts...it looks like you had a truly Magical Wedding! :thumbsup2

Aw, thanks! It really was amazing.... :cloud9:
