Anniversaries at GF

We just got back from a 10th anniversary trip to the GF (which is where we honeymooned). When we made our reservations, I explained to the CSR that it was a 10th anniversary trip (since she had the kid's names in the computer from last year's family trip). Well, that fact made it into our reservation, and one afternoon while resting back at the room, Room Service delivered a complimentary bottle of Champagne, with a nice note from the cast.

While cooling off in the pool the next day, I saw a cart full of bottles making its way to one of the room buildings, so I guess its something that they do fairly regularly.

It was one of a number of very nice touches of service that we experienced on our trip!

Congrats on your anniversary!

My DW & I are leaving next Tuesday, 5/14, to celebrate #25 at WDW. I can hardly wait. We told everyone we were coming to WDW to celebrate our 25th in the middle of the magic.

I am glad to hear something magical happened for you. How was the rest of your trip?

We went for our 10th Anniversary to GF in 2001 and they also gave us a small bottle of champagne and a pink rose. It was very nice. For our last night, we bought chocolate cake from MK bakery and took that and our champagne behind Boca Chica. We had the most romantic picnic while watching EWP. It is by far my fondest memory!!!

We too stayed at the GF in December 2001. We celebrated our 10th anniversary and my sons 6th birthday. When we returned to the room after our first full day, there was the champagne (on ice), rose, glasses...and birthday balloons. Very nice touch.
