It's been so hard lately to get and stay focused. Life has been so topsy turvy lately with preparing for and making our move from Massachusetts to Florida and now we are in the home stretch where dh has gone to FL and I am staying with my parents until the end of February. It wouldn't be so bad, except my parents are Italian and LOVE to feed me and eat with me. And being in their home and sleeping in the bedroom I grew up in I feel like I'm a skinny 6 year old again- at least I feel that way emotionally. Physically I'm overweight and pushing 40. I've got 2 weeks before I leave for FL and I need to refocus today!!! Actually I kinda began last night. I've decided the only way I can do this is to PLAN and strategize. So last night I sat down and wrote out my food journal for today. I'll do the same thing tonite and tomorrow nite and every nite for as long as it takes. No deviations. No excuses. It's time.

Annie -- Your plan looks great! Delicious foods! Just be sure you are eating enough to keep you satisfied! You may also want to invest in some sugar free gum and mints -- they get me through cravings.
Good luck!! :wizard:

Hi Annie -
It's great to hear from you! It was so great meeting you last month at the 1/2. Making a plan is definately the way to do it! Great job! Keep up the great work! Remember, one day at a time.

Your plan sounds like a great one. I have been meaning to come here and start myself a journal, I just haven't made the time for it. Thanks for sending me over here because it is a great reminder of a tool that I need to start using. Sometimes I have things that I want to tell myself and when I write them down, it really helps. Jimmy just got home, so I'll try to get back on here later. Hugs to you Annie!

Hi, Annie! I feel your pain with the family and food issues! I am Italian and man, can my family cook and eat! But that isn't much of an issue for me anymore since I don't live near most of them anymore. Most of them live in Florida and I don't anymore. But when I go visit, I do tend to pig out. I am sure if you really set your mind to it, you can accomplish your goals! Your meals look great so far!

Keenercam- Thanks for the gum/mint idea- I'm going to pick some up this morning! :)

Mel- It's great to hear from you too!!! Thanks for the encouragement- are you doing the half next year too?

Tammy- There's no time like the present to start a journal here!!!! Big hugs right back atcha!!!!

Tasha+Scott- I secretly think that part of what I'm looking forward to about moving to FL is not having to deal with those family dinners so often!!!! But don't tell my family:ssst:

Yesterday went very well, however today is going to have a big hurdle. (along with tomorrow, but we'll get to that tomorrow) A good friend at work wants to go for lunch and some friends who I haven't seen in about 15 years, but ran into a few weeks ago, want to go out for dinner. I chose Unos over Fridays for lunch and the place we are going to tonite I *think* is a pizza joint (or it was last time I was there) So while my points may not be exact, here's my menu for today

B-
Low sugar apple cinnamon oatmeal 2
coffee w/splenda 0

L-
TGI Fridays French Onion Soup 6--- (I'm guessing this can't be more than 6)

S-
Fat Free Pudding 2

D-
2 lite beers 4points
salad 0
dressing 2points
2 slices pizza 4

Total -- 20 points

I may have to adjust this later this evening, but I'm going to try to stick to this as best I can. Wish me luck! :wizard:

Annie-Just popping in to see how things are going. I'll send you an email later on today.

He he! You will be fine unless you meet my family and befriend them and then you will have to look for another place to live! LOL!

I hope things have been going well for you since you last posted!
