Thinking of going here on our first day. As we'll have been up since 4am!!, we'll probably start flagging early and want to have an early dinner (or late lunch) - I'm thinking around 4-5pm - before we go back to our hotel to check in. I'm guessing that our room won't be ready when we arrive you see as we'll probably get there late morning.

I read some reviews where the waiters weren't on roller skates at lunchtime and wondered what time we need to go if we wanted to see the 'entertainment'

We've only ever see a waitress once on roller skates, but it is always a restaurant we visit at least once per trip as we have never been let down :goodvibes

I saw waiters in rollerskates just once - and it was around 8ish - they sing every night i think but not before 9ish.
It's a great place to eat anyway :thumbsup2

We went there in July this year at around 5pm & our waiter was on skates but there wasn't any singing. The time previous to that we went there and was seated at about 7pm & there was singing and dancing, there was also a rather humerous Elvis impersonator going round the tables.

This is the only restaurant that is a 'must do' whenever we visit as the food is always great & the sevice is top notch. Should you decide to go here, you wont be disappointed :thumbsup2

We had lunch here during our half term visit. No singing or dancing at lunchtime, but also no queues, just great food and great service and a wonderful chocolate and Orio Cookie milk shake according to DS.

The last time we were at DLRP, several years ago, the seating was only on one level and there were two raised platforms in the restaurant were the waiting staff used to get up on to, to dance. However, they have now built a second level for seating and the dance platforms appear to have gone.

The times we have visited in the evening there has always been people on skates and dancing - normally to songs from Grease, but that is going back a few years now.

You certainly won't be disappointed with the food and the service whenever you go, though you may have to wait quite a while for a table as this is one of the few restaurants that don't take bookings.

Now you say it i remember it too... thought it looked different but i blamed my brain nont being good :rotfl:

Hi we went to Anettes Diner around 4 o clock when we went last year. There was no roller skating or dancing but that didnt worry us. The food and service was very good. we are definately heading back there when we go on the 26th of November.

We went on Wednesday this week, about 4 o'clock to beat the post-parade rush. There was one waiter on skates. We were seated straight away with no wait at all.

When did they get rid of the giant Annette statue? I'm sure it was there the last time I went.:confused3

The giant statue just inside the door? Was there the other week.

We enjoyed this place. The roller skating wasn't all that exciting anyway even for the girls lol But we saw it a few times during the week at lunchtimes.

Much MUCH better place to eat than Planet Hollywood!

She is still there in all her glory. This photo was taken October 22nd. Look behind the second T of Annette . . .

Okay, now I am worried for my sanity as well of that of my husband and daughter, as we ate there on the 24th October and if it was there on the 22nd I am darned sure it would have been there 2 days later. How on earth did we fail to see it? We came out saying what a pity it was that the Annette statue had gone.:confused3 AAAaaarrrgghh - Disney has sent us mad!:scared1:

At last managed to find an image hosting site that would reproduce a decent quality image. Probably one of the best restaurants in DLRP and one we must always visit, possibly because it is about the only place DS can get a proper 'shake' :yay:

Can I ask a stupid question :lmao:

Can you reserve a table at Annettes Diner? I think I red somewhere that you can't. But I am not sure. :confused3

We ate here on our last trip, when we ordered we asked for the same food twice............but they only made food for 1, so one of us had to wait while the other ate. Was nice food though and their mistake didnt ruin it. It was the crying kid that ruined it!!! 1-2 year old kid screaming and crying for about 30 minutes.

Nice though.
