Anne Heche trashes her ex on TV

FYI, she didn't get primary custody because her work at the time took her to Canada for long periods of time.

Five will get you twenty that even if she moves in next door to the kid and works down the street, she won't get primary custody. First, she's thisclose to certifiable, and she was thick enough to publish the evidence. Second, trashing the ex on national TV for taking child support has just made her look like a sniveling weasel who resents having to support her child even though the court ordered it. She is her own worst enemy.

Heche is an odd woman, and anyone who would deem it appropriate to engage her in a relationship is weird beans too. Weird *** people all the way around.

She started her career on Another World. Anyone remember that? She did her part very well. She actually played twins and made it believable. It's a shame she's such a fruit loop.

She may be crazy, but Anne's a really good actress. I liked her small part in I knew what you did last summer.

I guess she wasn't acting back then. :rotfl2:

That woman has always given me the heebie jeebies. I could NOT see what Ellen saw in her, she could do sooooooooooooo much better. Anne Heche is just plain gross.

What she should have done was say she was bi then we wouldn't be confused.

If only. But I've known several people who have done the same (what appears from the outside to be a) flip flop, and they absolutely insist that they are NOT bi...when they are in love with someone opposite them, they consider themselves totally hetero, when in love with same-same, they consider themselves totally gay. I didn't understand the difference, but they did, which is all that seems to matter!

Totally remember that. I just looked her up on IMDB, and including AW, she was in 19 things before '97, which is when she started dating Ellen D. Not *totally* unknown.

Anyway, I loved that show, but couldn't watch it for the 5 minutes it was on after they announced they were dating. Same thing happened with Joey, which was a show we LOVED, then couldn't watch after Matt LeBlanc left his wife and started dating the actress who played Alex. Even if there are extenuating circumstances outside of the new person...at least wait until the divorce is final, ya know? (especially when you have kids)

Though Heche can't seem to shake off her ex, she has moved on in her love life. The actress, who costars on HBO's Hung, has found love with former Men in Trees costar James Tupper. The couple had their first child together earlier this year, a baby boy named Atlas Heche Tupper.

That poor kid. What a name!

FWIW, I liked the show Men in Trees even though it was a Northern Exposure rip-off and I think that James Tupper is extra yummy.

I think she's funny. This guy may be evil incarnate. Do we really think her 5yo watches Letterman or any show that shows Letterman highlights? She's funny!

I know Anne, my family was very friendly with hers when we were younger. She was a bit older then me. I'll say this though, she has had one heck of a crazy/weird/heartbreaking life.

Her brother, Nathan was killed in a car accident right before graduation. I can still remember the line of people at his viewing. It was SO horrible!! He was such a wonderful person. Her father had a secret life that we certainly knew nothing about. It ripped her family apart. Very sad situation.

Maybe I'm remembering the wrong person.

Wasn't she found completely out of it in someones yard a number of years back? Either drugs, alcohol, or just complete mental breakdown?

Am I thinking of the wrong person?

Psychological problems

On Aug. 19, 2000, Heche knocked on the door of a modest Fresno home. Dazed and scantily clad, Heche said her SUV had broken down, asked to take a shower, and then made herself at home. When the cops arrived a short time later, the actress, who had publicly announced the end of her headline-grabbing three-year relationship with DeGeneres the day before, declared she was God and would take everyone back to heaven in her spaceship. In her 2001 autobiography, "Call Me Crazy," Heche explained that her disoriented Fresno daytrip was the result of mental illness (fueled by Ecstasy) stemming from childhood abuse by her father, which led her to create an alter ego named Celestia, "daughter of God, half-sibling of Christ, and that she was to spread a message of love to this stricken planet before ascending into Heaven".

supposedly the female lead (heather graham's role) in the movie 'bowfinger' was based on her. if that's the case, steve martin was certainly less than flattering in creating it, and depicts her as someone who based their relationship choices (and sexual lifestyle at certain points in her life) on how it would help her career wise.

I doubt he is staying up to watch it at 5, but the internet lives on forever. I'm sure in 10 years, or even less, he may well see this clip. I can't imagine how that would make him feel. She really needs to learn to think before she speaks.:sad2:

That is interesting to know and may explain the root of some of her problems, but the girl needs to get some help. She is not mentally stable.

Just because someone works steadily in the business does not mean that they are famous or "infamous" as her relationship to Ellen made her.

Ellen has. She moved on and is married (in CA) to Portia DeRossi now. They have a very stable, and for the most part, out of the limelight relationship. :thumbsup2

That corroborates what I said back in post #13. :thumbsup2

I know, it is very sad.

I find her to be pathetic and pitiable.
I hope her child never sees what his mother said about his father.

I know there is always drama in a split (an understatement at best) but I think it is kind of tacky for any parent to blast the other on television.
