Anna Maria Island

Anyone ever drive here from Orlando? How long was it? We are thinking of doing a day trip here and would love any info. Thanks

It might be a bit far for a day trip. Doable, but you'd be worn out.

I'd probably just go straight west to Clearwater Beach instead.

Every other year when we go to Disney we Drive to Florida . The first stop is to Anna Maria island to spend a few hours going to the shoppes and stores and then Dinner at the City Pier is a must pierjewelry.com/restaurant (is the website i don't have 10 posts) .The kids love to eat here (10 & 11). We love this island it is awesome.

Love AMI, it is beautiful and quiet. It's about a 2 hour drive from Disney though. If you visit, make sure you see a sunset. Breathtaking......
