My daughter got the Color Cue (now Cool as Ice) at 365 a year ago Feb. It lasted nicely at least 5 days. It was fun for her to wear it to school. We're going in August this year, so my only worry is pool time. Maybe we'll go at the end of our trip? We'll have to see how important it is to her. While it's MUCH cheaper than BBB, I'm not sure I'd want to spend the 35 bucks and then ruin it within a day.

We are taking 3 of our nieces in December. My sister wants to take a hotel break around lunch and then do the AEB before heading back into the parks. I would love to hear any thoughts on a time frame or any other suggestions. Thank you!!!

Excellent plan. I can't remember exactly how long it took, but I don't think it took more than 20-30 minutes.

In July, I made a reservation at 12:30 for DD. We ate lunch prior in DL (since the park opened at 8am), took the Monorail to DTD. The makeover took about 30-40 minutes, After that, we got ice cream and headed to DCA for an A&E FP. We got there about 1:30 and our return time was 2pm.

My DD is 8 and really enjoyed the Disney 365 treatment. Is there nothing like it anywhere anymore??

Unfortunately no. My DD (9) really missed it on our summer trip. She was disappointed that there was no place anymore that had displays of the clothes etc. the Disney channel stars wore on TV, or any place that had all the fun hairstyles that Disney 365 had. Disney 365 was geared more toward the tween and BBB toward the younger, but now Frozen once again has taken over and that store is now geared toward the younger kids too. The A&E & Olaf hairstyles are cute- much cuter than the BBB hairstyles in our opinion. The only hairstyle left from 365 is the Cool as Ice posted above (can't remember what it was called before- but a similar one is the courtyard package style at BBB), and it is the one that DD hates because they make the rolls on the head so tight that she thought it really hurt. She loved the one where they made the bow on the head- but it is long gone!

How is the hair the next day? Is the hairstyle still in place or does it come out? Hoping to maybe get two days out of it.

DD did not do the A&E style, so I can't speak to those specifically-- but be aware whether it stays in my depend on your DD. We've done all of the BBB hairstyles, and DD would not leave any of them in overnight. They put so much goop in the hair that DD refused to go to bed without washing it out. Also at least with the BBB bun and that Cool as Ice type style- DD's head started hurting and she wanted those out! When she was 3 or 4, she had the BBB bun, and that one didn't even make it through the afternoon at the park, before she was absolutely begging me to get it down because her head hurt. I have to admit, for both the BBB bun and the Cool as Ice type style, the person who did it had it pulled so tight that her face looks a bit like she has had plastic surgery in our photos!

We loved the result. The only problem we had (and it was my problem more than anything else) was that there is NO seating for grownups while the transformation is occurring. The style would have lasted fine, but we took the bun down after day one for sleeping (but kept the twist for day two and the front for day three).

After a delay with Disney's scheduling, I was finally able to book appointments for our nieces. We were hoping to get all 3 in at the same time to sit in the 3 chairs together at the back of the store. Unfortunately, we have 2 together and 1 that will be 15 minutes earlier, which isn't too bad. Has anyone had any experience booking for 3 at the same time? I am wondering if I should spend the time calling to check for cancellations. This is our first "makeover" experience so I have no idea what we are in for! Thanks in advance!!

One of the big secrets(imho) about DTD is most of the shopping
is very comparable to what you find in the parks.
