Anna and Elsa opening at 9am starting next week?

is anyone there this afternoon - how do the lines look now?

Have they cut them off (since in theory they stop meeting at 6 or have their last session at 6 - not clear on which....)?

Yep, Im wondering too.....what time do you have to get there in the afternoon, before you are cut off.

I'm actually thinking of heading to EP when I land tomorrow around 1PM and see what the wait times are like. If it's 2hrs or less, I'll probably just knock it right then and there to make it simple and keep my plans in check. I had really hoped for an evening visit, only because I had the plan to pull up my phone for FaceTime and surprise my sister with A&E while down there. She's never been to Disney, or seen anything outside of pictures, so the goal was to really surprise her there. :sad1:

Not exactly the same, but Anna and Elsa were very accommodating and did a quick "hello" video to my dd. I popped over to EPCOT with my sister and her friend for a school trip, and waited 4 hours for her to see them.

I'm considering picking my dd up from school and heading to EPCOT tomorrow to see Anna and Elsa. She gets out of school around 1, so we'd be at Disney around 2. I'd be willing to report back on wait times in the afternoon if we do head over there.

That would be great. Im still not sure if we should plan on seeing them in the morning, or afternoon. If you can get there around 4 and still see them, I may just plan on the afternoon. :confused3

I would like to know what the cut off time in the afternoon is as well...

Does anyone know ?

Thanks!

Whoa... 4 hours??

We will be at WDW in May and have a day planned at Epcot when there is a morning EMH. Now, I realize that a lot could change between now and May, but if I arrive at RP, head straight back to Norway and get in line, I'm thinking I should be in the first group to meet them?
I'm not a fast runner and I will have my 3 year old DS with me. I'm just wondering if it will be quicker to push him in the stroller or just carry him.
My DH and older DS will be going right to TT, so I could potentially give the stroller to them to park outside of TT.

Also, the times guide says that World Showcase opens at 11 am.... What exactly does that mean? and does it affect this line for the meet and greet at all?

I know you are wondering why a mother of two boys needs to see Anna & Elsa, but my 3 year old adores them. He runs around the house singing "Let it Go"....

So if I send my husband first to get in line before 9am, when the line finally starts to move we will obviously have to join him right away, right? I just worry with an 8:10 ADR we will end up having to rush out. I guess we will have to see how it goes this coming week.

Yes. Whoever wants to meet the ladies will have to be in line when it's time to go in. Pretty sure Dad doesn't want to meet them by himself, or maybe he does. He'd have to give up his place in line if he doesn't.

It means the pavilions and everything inside them open at 11.

However, because Akershus serves breakfast starting at 8 (do they ever serve it earlier?), you can walk past Mexico and into Norway from 8 to 11. You can't walk past Norway until after 11. Used to be nothing else in the pavilion was open except Akershus.

Because of the popularity of this meet & greet, it will be the only thing in Norway besides Akershus that is open before 11.
Expect a stream of guests (many of which will probably run although they will be told not to) converging on Norway as soon as the park opens at 9 (assuming it's not an extra magic morning). The only people in line right at 9 will be the ones who went to Akershus. Or made a reservation at Akershus and then paid $10 per person because the whole party went and got in the Anna/Elsa line instead.

On an Extra Magic hour, I guess they open to resort guests at 8? So any resort guest willing to get there at 8 will be able to charge over to Norway and get in line. They'll then have to wait an hour. An hour wait beats the three hours it used to be if you got in line at 8. If you're not planning on going in until 9, you're going to have a longer line to wait in than you would have on a non-Magic hour day. They don't open WS for extra magic mornings - just Future World - so the only thing actually open in Norway at 8 will be Akershus.

Those coming in from the International Gateway will have to head through Britain and Canada (which will still be closed although you can walk through), cut across the plaza in front of the lagoon, pass Mexico and head into Norway.

Yes, Epcot opens at 8 am on this EMH day. I don't mind waiting in line an hour, just as long as there is a line to wait in. Where in Norway do I go? (I'm embarrassed to say we spend little to no time in EPCOT) I'm assuming there will be CM's there to direct?

Are you entering at 8 (you can only do this if you are a resort guest)? or at 9? If you enter at 9 the line will be full of resort guests who entered between 8 and 9.

Norway is small. One the right side of the pavilion entrance is the restaurant, Akershus.
As you walk inside the pavilion past the Stave Church, right opposite the restaurant you will see the barriers set up for the princess line. If you can't see where the beginning of the line is, ask a CM.

We will be there at RD. Entering at 8 am!

The meet and greet is in the Puffin's Post. Turn left like you are going to ride Maelstrom or (however you spell it) and the meet and greet will be on your left. (Akershus is on the right.) If you arrive after 9:15 the line will already be wrapped around the Stave Church into the area for Agent P. But I imagine there will be cast members to assist you if you cannot locate it.

This thread and reports of the wait times for E&A make me wish I hadn't taken my oldest to see the movie :rotfl: Now we have an Elsa dress, 3 Frozen tshirts and a pair of pjs and the world will probably end if we don't meet E&A on our next trip.

Based on past experiences (Rapunzel and other new hot attractions) how long should it take for the line to go from ridiculous to just crazy? We're going end of April/early May and my daughter will definitely want to see them but we won't be able to wait 3-4 hours. Is it likely by then on a day rated a 2 or 3 that the line should be under 2 hours? We have a 5:15 dinner at Akershus on our first full day which we're spending at MK. I was hoping to leave MK around 2:30pm and head over to Norway to see E&A and then do the princesses.

If that won't work hopefully seeing them in this new parade, Disney Festival of Fantasy will suffice.

Hey! Just got off the phone with Disney yesterday and they stated that the 9-6 at Epcot is going away... That they will be at Epcot/Norway from 2-2:40 and 3-3:40. Also, at MK Fantasyland near Pinocchio Village from 11-4:30???

Seems unlikely as they're going to be in the parade at MK which will probably be at 3pm. No way Disney would have them in two locations at the same park at the same time.
