Looking to see if anyone had any experience with this... I have a fastpass for Anna and Elsa. My daughter is 2 so she doesn't need one. I am assuming that there was only 1 fastpass available because for some reason it will not let me get a fastpass for my husband as well. Anyone know if they will let him in with us... He doesn't care about the characters, but will want to see our DD with them.

Sorry, but no. There was talk of Disney allowing this, but no one was ever able to actually confirm it and I doubt Disney would allow that type of loophole on such a popular "attraction."

We are in the same boat. I was only able to get one for one child (2 yrs so doesn't need own FP) and 2 adults. The adults will not want in pictures but would be nice if we could both see interaction. It would actually be faster as one adult could put child by princess and other could be ready to snap pictures.

Nope. Keep checking - but if nothing opens up, only one of you will be going.

We witnessed this last week. A family went up to Ariel's Grotto and only had FP for the kids. The CM let them in and said they had to make sure they had them for everyone, and the only reason he was letting them in was that it wasn't too busy. He was very clear that it would not work at the more popular meet and greets like A&E or Talking Mickey.

They won't let him in unless he has a fastpass.

I have read something where if you ask there is the possibility that they might (nothing is for sure) allow one parent in without a fastpass accompanying a child under age three. But if one parent has the fastpass, I doubt they will let the other parent in without one.

They will not let him in with you. When we saw A&E in October, we saw a Dad turned away. We also saw another instance where the Dad had left with the camera. They allowed the Mom to call him and wait for him to bring the camera, but they sent a CM to escort him to the front of the FP+ line to give the camera to his wife and then back out. He was not allowed to go in with his family.

Keep trying to switch one of his FP to a time that overlaps yours. Even if there is just a 5 minute overlap, that is enough for you to time it and get in line at the same time. If it is 5 minutes after yours that will also work as, the FP+ machines will scan green 5 minutes before your FP+ actually starts- we tested that several times during our trip and it works. Also even if there was a 10 minute gap between your FP+, you could enter the FP+ line and then stand inside in line and wait 5 minutes for him to get there (or the CMs might let him in early). The same goes if you get him one that ends 5 or 10 minutes before yours. He could enter the line and then wait for you to join him. Good luck!!!

They let me in once at A&E when I was in that situation. But of course that's a huge YMMV and I wouldn't expect it.

When we went last summer I was able to get one FB so I grabbed it, we had 7 in our group. I asked my dd 10 if she wanted to meet A&E and she said she had already done so in DL so I put the FP on my son's GF pass and she went in alone. They were great to her and took pics on her phone and of course I had prepaid for pics so we all got to enjoy seeing her that way.

DD has been working at WDW since last summer but doing FP+ Attractions for the first time starting this month. She is well versed in Attractions, just not FP+. She had a situation with a group of kids with FP+ but the grandparents did not show up. Being only her first week and of course thinking Grandparents wouldn't lie to her she let them through. A coordinator working nearby pulled her over. He said she is to not let anyone through who does not have a FP+, that guests are quite good at working the system getting a FP+ for half their family at 6 locations then cry wolf for the half who don't have them when they arrive. She no longer lets anyone through who does not have an active FP+. The stories she tells me of what people say and try to do amaze me. I'm waiting for the call when she says someone tries to slip her a twenty. She is at a popular attraction. SO ..... for anything popular it's likely you will not get a pass through so I would not depend on it but if you do, you were lucky.

NOTE: I was just there for the holiday weekend and got A&E FP+ just one week out so keep trying.

We were in FP+ line for A&E on Jan 2. There was a rather large family in front of us and only one of them had an actual FP for A&E. The others had FP's for other attractions. The CM working the scanners told them they didn't have FP's for this attraction, but the mom argued with him. To my horror, he let them in! I thought for sure they would get caught at the next scanner, but, the CM working that one was distracted and did not even watch them walk through. The first CM told them he could lose him job, etc... but he let them in anyway. He looked like he was going to have a nervous breakdown! I could not believe he let them in! :furious:

Sadly he could lose his job and shame on that family. My DD has not had any work issues since arriving last summer and when she got called over she was concerned. While she does have the ability to waive folks if she thinks it's appropriate she has taken the stance that you are green or you aren't because it's her job. If a guest honestly feels the system is wrong they can go over to the coordinator who can pull their FP+ up on their system.

I had the same issue. I e-mailed Tom Staggs (chairman of the Disney Parks and Resorts division) directly about it and got a call back from a Disney cast member (they must have used my e-mail to cross reference with my my disney experience account, which must have my phone number on it because I didn't give them any contact info) who gave everyone in my family a fastpass for whatever attraction that we wanted for a day of our choosing during the trip. We then rebooked the A&E that was for only a two in our group to another attraction and used the one that they gave us for A&E

Oh no, they KNEW they didn't all have FP's. He told one of them their FP was for Splash. The family was not from the USA and acted like they could not understand what he was telling them. But, when we passed through, a couple of them turned to the one with the FP and said (in clear english) "who are Anna and Elsa?" I was stunned at what I witnessed, to say the least!

This thread definitely confirms my suspicion...people are crazy, lol. I am sitting here reading some of these stories and I can't believe people would risk another persons job to meet characters that are in costume! Now I have 2 kids I know the deal and I will be staying up till midnight on my fast pass opening date to get my fast passes for Anna and Elsa bc my kids are obsessed. But I would never risk someone's job to meet a character. Specially characters I don't really know. Just wow...anyways my advice to the OP is just keep trying and follow these boards bc there are cancelation threads on here for Anna and Elsa.

I can only assume Tom Staggs is her neighbor or uncle...

How could he ever get any real work done if this is what people email him about? And the fact that it worked only encourages it.

actually no I didn't email about a particular fastpass, and I didn't ask for anything. I e-mailed about how the fastpass plus system in general was in my opinion against Walts plan because it encourages separating your family if there are not enough passes for everyone in your group when you go to book them, when would never have been an issue with the paper fast passes. In fact, if you try to match your families fast passes through the system, and one isn't available, it will automatically give you either another time, or another attraction entirely, without informing you of the fact that this is not what the other people in your group who you are trying to copy your fast passes to have.

The lady who called me obviously looked up my fastpass reservations before calling because she saw that only part of my group was booked for Anna and Elsa and I was booked for splash mountain instead.

Thanks for the advice to keep checking. Just got one that is just 5 minutes different. I have been very surprised at the fastpass and dining availability within 24 hours of when we want. We are here now and have been able to change fast passes and dining. We have even scored the early prepark opening reservations.
