Ann Coulter

the women she refers to live a few towns over from me. i have always thought she (ann coulter) was a spineless witch. I just laugh anytime I see her on tv now because anything she has to say is such BS.

she just discredits the conservatives IMO; just like Pat Robertson discredits the televangelists; or Michael Moore the liberals. because the three of them are all so over the top.

there are crackpots on both sides that give their side a bad name - she is a perfect example...and, yes, she turns my stomach too!

Whatever these women have done - I have not followed it enough to comment...(all I know is my heart goes out to them and who is to say what I would do in the same situation, heaven forbid..), Coulter is only going to a lower place by capitalizing on these mens deaths even further....and by dragging grieving widows over the coals.....I don't understand what kind of human being can see any positive in any of this

On the surface, I would say that Ann Coulter is wrong on this one. I really haven't seen these women on tv. I don't know exactly what they do that Coulter is reacting to.

I don't think that anyone even Ann would have said this in the first year or two after such a horrible blow to these women. Of course they don't want people to forget their husbands or the terrible pain they have gone through. You don't get over grief like that.

I do think there is more to this story than just Ann's comments in her book. I guess if you keep parading yourself in the limelight for whatever reason, you are leaving yourself open to attack. Not saying it is right, it happens. I want to do a little more reading on all this.....

She just spews venom whenever she talks. I can't believe she takes herself so seriously or that anyone else does.

::yes::

Yesterday the NBC Nightly News showed the clip of her on the Today Show.

Brian Williams said she went over the line, and he looked genuinely disgusted.

Good for him.

Flame suit being donned.....

While I honestly don't follow Ann Coulter, I wonder how much of her comments are being taken out of context.

Personally, I'm tired of the victims families of 9-11 insisting that the US government....i.e., you and I - somehow compensating them for something that terrorists did.

If the women wrote a book and want to sell it - oky doky...and as usual that liberal media is sure to use it to their advantag like they always do - so I agree with Ann on that point. But come on - how is she wrong about people who are milking a system. I'm very sorry that your husband, son, daughter, etc. died. Very sorry. But the US government didn't do it. So stop demanding compensation from the US government....which is a position that Ann does take.

Ann Coulter exists because people like here on this board and elsewhere get so enraged whenever she speaks. And with that outrage brings money and ratings....her remarks and the hoopla after them make for good tv...and book sales.

If she didn't offend anyone, she wouldn't be around. I'm not sure she even believes all she says, I think she is now doing it more for the money.

It's all entertainment when it comes down to it with these types.

I agree. It was a terrorist attack. The only one who could have stopped it was God and He did not choose to. No government can say that they can stop all terror attacks. And our government is not perfect.

Did anyone see her interview with Matt Lauer ( ) on the Today show?? I thought she mad an idiot of herself but Matt handled it quite well. He seemed to just let her dig herself deeper and deeper. When he finally had had enough of her snotty comments and rudeness (she really answered most of his questions with a huge degree of arrogance) he got a bit forceful with the last question he asked her. She replied something to the effect of "or, so now your getting rude (I can't remember her exact word) with me"? The crowd in the background groaned and booed loudly.

This proves my ratings point! :teeth:

She makes for good tv and she knows it. :happytv:

It's not her posistions on issues so much as the way she goes about trying to get her positions across. She disagrees with the 9/11 families, Liberals, Democrats, or whoever, okay fine, she's entitled to her opinion. But to spew the kind of hate that comes out of her mouth, there is just no excuse. And if she is just doing it for money and self promotion then it is doubley evil.

Oh, I can put my feelings about Queen Adam's Apple into words all right...just none that are fit for a family message board.

Anne Coulter is a vile excuse for a human being. That she is one of the poster children for the right in this country (along with Hannity and Pill Poppin' Daddy Limbaugh) says a lot more about the right than it does about anyone they choose to slander.

BuzzBoyMom should be the highly paid commentator instead of Ann Coulter! She expressed the same idea Ann did w/out stooping to nasty name calling. But I guess BuzzBoyMom's comments wouldn't make a great 20-second sound bite on the nightly news, either.

Unfortunately, television coverage of politics is becoming more and more concerned with the juicy 20 second sound bite and less and less concerned w/ any meaningful exchange of ideas. I'm not sure if homely Abraham Lincoln would be a popular guest on the cable news shows if he lived in this century.

Her comments were not taken out of context. She accused these women of being glad that their husbands died. I may not agree with everything that they have tried to do, but I don't believe that anyone would be happy that their loved ones died on 9/11.

Coulter is everything that she accues the liberals of being. Even the title of her book, godless. Does anyone here actually think that all liberals are godless? I live in Alabama and I am so tired of liberal being used like a four letter word. Really, conservitives are the only ones with "family values"?

The sad thing is that people will read her trashy book and think she's right. What does that say about this country? Truthfully it scares me to death.

I feel so embarrassed for Ann Coulter whenever I see her on TV. She just makes a fool of herself whenever she opens her mouth.

And I disagree with the poster who said its only people on the right who do this. There are extremists on both sides who are an embarrassment. They would do everyone a favor by just shutting their big fat mouths but of course that will never happen.
