We went last September with my DS, 3 at the time. There really wasn't much to offer him at the Animal Kingdom. We saw the show Its tough to be a bug which I thought would have been fine for him but he was a bit frightened. We went on the safari, which was bumpy, but fine for his age. We did the rapids, he was scared, said he didn't want to go on that again.. The only thing that was really suitable for him was in Dinoland, I forget the name of the ride, but it was similar to Dumbo. I don't think we will be visiting Animal Kingdom our next trip. :sunny:

We just went in November and my kids were 2 and 5. They loved it. But my kids really like all the animals. There are not alot of "rides" for that age group that they could go together IMO. We spent most of our time looking at all the animals. HTH

With my 3.5 year old, we went on the Kilimanjaro Safari. The only other ride we went on was the flying dinosaur ride, the one like Dumbo. He loved the Boneyard playground though, I could hardly pry him out of there. He also really enjoyed the gorilla trail and the jungle trek where you see the tigers. The Lion King show is very good too and there's Camp Minnie-Mickey to meet the characters.

My kids are 5, 2, and 6 months and AK is the older two's favorite park--it's a nice change from the hustle and bustle of MK, but still has plenty of exciting rides. They LOVE the safari, my oldest really enjoys Dinosaur, and just the slow nature of the park appeals to them (animals & shows). We end the day with the Bone Yard--they look forward to it tremendiously. And even though they aren't into Dumbo (I think what they really dislike is the line), they love the Triceratops Spin.

We took our 5 y/o son and 2 y/o daughter this past January and had a ball. I totally recommend the Unofficial Guide - their fright potential chart was excellent. Our daughter loved Dumbo and all Dumbo-like rides, requesting a purple car each time. In MK she also loved the carousel and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Our son's favorite rides in MK were Peter Pan's Flight, Pirates of the Carribbean and the Indy Speedway. Both loved the Spectomagic parade. We had a ball in AK especially at the Lion King show, Flights of Wonder and Kilimanjaro Safaris. Our daughter was overwhelmed in the Boneyard but our son loved it. At MGM our daughter loved the Little Mermaid show, our son liked the Backlot tour and both got into the Playhouse Disney show. We didn't do Epcot. The best pieces of advice we got were to only spend 4 hours at a time in a park (go back to the hotel for pool or nap time and then return again to do rides you missed or see a parade), bring a double stroller (our son rode almost 1/2 the time) and load up your diaper bag with snacks (no waiting in line, no melt-downs.) Use the parent switch off with intense rides. Also know there is no way you will see every thing in every park and just go with the flow. Initially I thought they may be too young but these are great ages to go. Have a blast!

I hope you are not planning on by-passing the Boneyard!! My 3 yo dd and 5 yo ds could spend all day there!!

For little ones, AK is more about seeing the animals, shows, etc. than about rides. My 3 yo will ride Triceratops and Safari. My 5 yo is tall enough (and enough of a thrill-ride junkier) to ride all except Primeval Whirl.

I just asked my little ones what they liked best about AK, and dd said "seeing the tigers" (on the Maharajah Jungle Trek) and ds said "riding Dinosaur."

DS loved AK. He didn't even ride the rides. The shows and the characters kept him completely entertained. I know you mentioned the kids don't care about the bone yard, but I think its a great place for all ages. DS couldn't get enough. AK is my favorite park as well. So relaxing and enjoyable. Never seems to crowded either and we were there during Christmas.

We love AK. Our sons, 2 and 4, love all the animals, the Lion King show and especially the train ride to Conservation Station. My oldest loves Stanley and is able to see him out there.

Kilmanjaro safari, Lion King show and Bugs Life. She was too short for some of the rides and it was cold the day we were there but we enjoyed AK as much if not more than some of the other parks. DD enjoyed seeing the gorillas, tigers and birds on the walks as well.

For days when asked her favourite part my dd (almost 3 at the time) said Bugs Life show. By the end of the trip it was Dumbo all the way. She also like Aladdin which was similar to the Dumbo ride.
