Ankle rash during extended WDW vacations?

Lot of good stuff here! Thanks. Looks like this:

But can get worst. As I mentioned, I've tried higher socks, sun block, aloe vera, etc. This time I'll try steroid cream and complete block. Long pants are not an option for me. I will also try ice a few times a day.

Kirk, yours looks just like mine. Sunscreen and long pants do not help. I have even gotten the rash just walking around in the summer heat at night with jeans on in downtown Disney or Citywalk. Small capillaries are expanding and then breaking causing a bleed under the skin. Blood thinners (also aspirin and ibuprofen) and some blood pressure medications can make it worse, Resting the legs and doing anything you can do to eliminate swelling is the only remedy that works for me. Support hose or the kind of socks you get after surgery would probably work also but it's too darn hot in Orlando for that. It is harmless and does go away on it's own in a few days with no treatment. Click here for more pictures of others with the rash and also for several links on treatment. https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en#hl=en&q=golfer's+vasculitis+photos Many of these have a purpleish color and others have bright red. Mine was always bright red and just lightened until is disappeared within a few days. Mine never turned purple.

I also get the Disney rash every time we go. Mine looks just like Kirks. I am on my feet for 5-7 1/2 hrs everyday so I think in my case it is caused by the sun. I found if I put sunblock on the first day and every day after it seems to help a little. After a few days I then put on baby powder cause nothing gets through that stuff and that seems to help a little. Clears up a few days after I get home.

I take ibuprofen before we leave for the day, and I switch shoes every day. I take my allergy meds before dinner.

When we take our breaks back at the hotel room, I draw a bit of cold water in the tub and stick my feet in it. Rinse my legs from the faucet for a few minutes with the cold water as well. Then I lay on the bed, with my legs elevated (using the blanket or pillows or a jacket bunched up) for a little bit.

Since I started doing that, along with a good covering of sunscreen, I haven't had a major reaction.
