Just a hint for first timers! The "lightshow" at Animator's Palate is only on your first dining time in the restaurant. Please make sure you don't book Palo's or pick that night to dine at the buffet or in your room. We didn't know this-and yes we read and re-read Passporter.

It's not necessarily on your first night at AP. It will be your first non-themed night there. If your first meal at AP is on a formal night, then the show will not be that night. For example, if you have the LAP rotation on the eastern, the show will be on Wednesday night, but you will have eaten at AP on Sunday.

If you're unsure, ask at Guest Services when you board. They should be able to tell you.

This is a great hint - but it's only true for the Western itinerary!

On the Eastern Magic, the light show happens on your "regular", non-theme night in AP. For the APL and PLA rotations, it will be the first night in AP, but for the LAP rotation, this will occur on your 2nd visit to AP, because the first night is Master Chef's / Formal night.

It is important to keep this in mind when making alternative dining arrangements, though. Here's a nifty schedule mmouse37 worked up as a guide to theme nights for each rotation, for both Western and Eastern:
