Animator show? What night?

What night do the do the light up show in Animator's? I thought it was the first night you dine there. but, someone mentioned they didn't do the show on formal night. West coast return cruisers, Anyone have this happen?

We had PLA and they did do the light up show on our western cruise's formal night. The only time that changes is on the Wonder if Pirate night is your night in AP. The show then happens on the last night.
