Has anyone visited the Animation Academy at Rafiki's Planet Watch in AK since post-pandemic reopening? Is it running like it used to? How are lines? Is it tough to get a spot (or 3 since there's 3 of us). Just wondering how it is now since we probably wouldn't ride the train out to Planet Watch unless we were doing the animation academy.

DH, DS and I went April 20th (Tuesday) in a downpour. Took the train in a downpour and waited in the pavillion at the exit for quite a while until the rain slowed. Finally made a dash for Conservation Station. We lucked out and got a seat just as the last class was emptying, prior to 1:30 (I think) for the next drawing class, which may have been at 2? We just enjoyed having comfortable seats out of the rain. We were amoung the fewf people to be seated. I'm not sure how many chairs they had - maybe 30?

I guess, if I were you, I'd figure out what time you want to go and try to be there as soon as the previous class empties out to get a seat and just wait.

Thank you....we'll try to do just that.
Do you remember which character you drew?

We just did it this week, the 8th. There were lots of people there but also lots of empty seats still available. We drew Dumbo, and it was a great experience (our 1st)!

I have done this twice in the past year. I was seated in the next available session both times. One time I drew Dumbo, can't remember the other. I know sometimes they are drawing Tuk Tuk from Raya and the Last Dragon.

We did it two weeks ago today (a Saturday). Not hard to get into. Sessions fill up, but it's easy to get into the next one.

We drew Thumper from Bambi. The session before us drew Tuk Tuk.

Can someone please point me to where I can find the times of the class/show at the Animation Academy? I did it twice pre Covid and I loved it. I'll be there next month and would love to find out the times of the shows. Anyone know?
