Unfortunately, you can only get a good view from the "savannah" category of rooms! Speaking from experience, it's definitely worth the upgrade....and yes, it is as fantastic as it sounds!!!!
You may either book a savannah view, or hope for a complementary upgrade upon check-in... Luckily, you can see animals from all over the hotel. It is fantastic!
First, its not as fantastic as it sounds. It's better!!! I am a little biased , but I do think its an amazing resort!
Anyway, while you can't see the animals from every room, there are so many amazing viewing areas that make it worth it. IMHO, however, if you're not going to get a savannah view room I would at least get pool view because you run the risk of looking at...say...a rooftop with standard view haha (a few pool views are like this too though...). Because we're going back and staying at Kidani next year for a two week trip we weren't financially able to book a savannah room this year, so we're staying pool view and I'm still incredibly excited. I plan on getting ready super fast and then spending a lot of time on the public balconies!
**I am going to ask for a complementary upgrade when I get there though, I've always gotten either exactly my room request or an upgrade at check-in without even asking for one! I know this isn't necessarily the norm, but it doesn't hurt to just ask!**
It is totally as fantastic as it sounds! You definately want a Savannah View room though. Every time we came back to the room, the first thing I did was run to the balcony to see what animals were out. It's awesome!
Wasn't for us, DD barely even paid attention to the animals, all she wanted to do was swim when we were there, so if we go back it will be for the pool, not the animals
