When were there in May the trails were packed. It could have just been the times we where there though.

We're going back Dec 13th through the 22nd so I'm anticipating heavy crowds.
If we rope drop the Pandora rides then hit the safari, do you think the trails will be packed?

Also, the large bats weren't there. I think the guide said they we're introducing new ones and they do that behind the screens but I'm not sure I remember that correctly.
Does anyone know when they'll be back?

I don't know if they're introducing new fruit bats, but that would be amazing! They're my favorite to see. I was told once that if it gets too hot they bring the bats inside, otherwise they could die?! The CM also told me that they each have their own stuffed animal that they cuddle up with at night when they sleep 🤗

I was there in February and saw bats. I think sometimes it can be temperature-dependent whether they're out on exhibit or not

We were there mid May and the bats were gone. Nobody there to talk to. Hope they are back by this fall.

I love them too! This was my first trip back after almost 15 years and I couldn't wait to show them to my husband. I was so sad they weren't there. I'm hoping they'll be back by December.
We're taking my step sons this time and they're going to be blown away by how big they are!

I love the bats! They are such cool animals. You can look on YouTube for Australian bat rescue group videos - they are actually very cute! The animal trails can get very crowded, especially near the bats as it kind of bottle-necks there.

If I recall what they told us on our last trip they are getting a new habitat and are off exhibit right now

That could have been what they told me. I just remembered them saying they wouldn't be back for awhile I just couldn't remember how long. Fingers crossed, they'll be back in December!
