Border Collies. Of course they remembered him. They probably wrote him letters and kept a calendar so they could count the days down until Dad came home.

Love it! Our Honey is "Daddy's dog"... I am interested to see how she reacts next month when he returns (after 8 months). Took her about a month to stop sitting by the window at 5pm to wait for him to come home.

That's so true. I have a Sheltie, so in the same family. She tries to herd the whole family into the same room so she can keep an eye on all of us at the same time

I cried too...Nobody can ever tell me that animals don't have emotions or don't feel love or pain.....Alot of people underestimate the bond between people and their animals!
