Animal Kingdom's hidden path? Where is it?

Ive been on some sort of Disney message board for almost 11 years now! YIKES! Im getting OLD!

I distinctly remember when AK first opened, the talk about this hidden pathm that doesnt even look like it IS a path, yet is it and you can trek on through it...Anyone know what Im talking about?

Sure.......It is located near the smoking area on the path that leads from Africa over toward Asia, shortly before you get to the Bird Show theatre if you are headed from Africa to Asia. There may be a bathroom nearby or maybe it's a place to buy sodas.....I can't remember. Anywho, just find the smoking area. As you walk up into the smoking area keep watch to your right for a very small and probably overgrown opening in the brush. There won't be any sign. You'll find a path that leads into the woods above the smoking area. The path isn't that long. It crosses a stream and then comes back out onto the pathway between the smoking area and Africa. It will take you all of a minute or two to walk the entire path, so don't expect a lot. It's been a couple of years since we went up there, but it was neat to find and see what I'd heard people mention on these boards. Enjoy your adventure!

That path mentioned is actually shown on the park map. I thought I remember there being talk of a secret path more near the front or on Discovery Island?
