For the first time me & my family are going to Animal Kingdom does anyone recomend a place to eat? There is 4 of us DD3 DD13 & me and my husband

We like Pizzafari. Good sandwiches. Nice atmosphere. Every room is decorated differently. Restaurantosaurus is okay with McDonald's offerings and salads. We really prefer Pizzafari.

There is a Donalds Breakfast buffet somewhere in the park, a pizzsafari, which is ok, but we like a bbq place there and I cannot think of the name of it, but it is a cs. Also you will see turkey leg vendors abound and fresh fruit for snacks. I think that if you are looking for a GOOD meal, exit the park and eat at the Rainforest Cafe which is at the entrance to the park...kids seem to love the theming , it is the closest to Disney theming outside of Disney that I have seen. The food there is pretty good as well. Have fun

If you're on the dining plan, we liked Donald's Breakfastosaurus (but I've heard it's expensive off-plan.) They had all the traditional breakfast buffet stuff, plus a breakfast pizza and Krispy Kreme doughnuts. The characters were Donald, Goofy, Mickey, and Pluto, and it's located in the Dinoland USA section.

Try checking the menus at www.allearsnet.com for the foods your family likes. Many people on the DIS love Tusker House, but my family wasn't impressed. DS 8 and DD 11 love Pizzafari - and their pizza did seem to be better than others at WDW - and I just adore the Flame Tree Barbeque. As other posters have indicated, there is Restaurantosaurus, which serves burgers and McDonald's chicken nuggets and fries, as well as a character breakfast. Lastly, there is the Rainforest Cafe, a sit-down eatery as well. If you want to try Breakfastosaurus, call Disney Dining for an Advance Dining Reservation to secure a place. Have fun!

we liked tusker house (although the peanut crusted chiicken we really loved is no longer on the menu) and flame tree bbq. the seating area for flame tree is awesome, shaded patios down a hill with a view overlooking the river and expedition everest.

We all liked Tusker House last year as well. DD7 liked the chicken drumstick and the carrot cake. DS10 liked the fried chicken sandwich. DD8 picked at every meal during the whole trip. DH and I both had the chicken and found it very good.

The year before, we had lunch at Rainforest Cafe. The kids loved the atmosphere, but we (the adults) thought it was loud and weren't really crazy about the food.

RAINFOREST CAFE :cool1: - is the only place me and my family will eat in AK, maybe we are just fussy but we dont really like anywhere else (as i am from the UK i dont really like US macdonalds, just doesnt taste the same :confused3 ) as we dont tend to stay full days at AK (usally go a water park before hand, or go to another park late afternoon) we only tend to eat one meal there so it suits us.

We went with two other families and we ALL loved the Tusker House. And believe me when I say I went with some picky eaters. The food was wonderful! It was fresh and a nice change from the typical burgers, chicken and fries. All of the kids, who were under the age of 4, enjoyed their meals also.
