We will be on our honeymoon this december in WDW. I've been quite a few times but my it will be her first time. My family has only been to AK once, and we only did 3 things, the safari thing where you go out and see the animals, some ride where we got wet in a huge intertube and It's a bugs life 3d movie. What are the rides/shows that 2 newlyweds might enjoy? What are the big time attractions there that we should really try to hit?

Thanks,

My DH and I loved AK! We enjoyed the Lion King show very much. Also, walking the trails was very interesting....I highly recommend seeing the bats...

The atmosphere in itself if very relaxing for me...take your time and enjoy the ambiance.

We wish we would have taken time to see the performers in Africa. We did Dinosaur and I think it is either a love it or hate it attraction. My DH and DD-16 loved, I could do without it....although I did scream.

Oh, my gosh. AK is a hidden jewel.

Besides Safari, Festival of the Lion King is a must!! Also, Tarzan is allot of fun. Just the time the Imagineers put into making that place so wonderful. I enjoy just walking around.

The Parade is so creative.

My adivice is to get a really good Guidebook, Birnbaum, The Unofficial Guide and Passporter are probably the top three.

Have a great Trip!!

We really enjoyed the Maharaja Jungle Trek - the tigers were playing with rubber balls in the 'ruins' pool/fountain area - really great atmosphere and not too crowded.
Festival of the lion King is a must see - it was really impressive.
Other than that - the Dinosaur ride is great - I wanted to ride again but my 2 young sons wouldn't go near it a 2nd time!

Definitely 'Tarzan Rocks.' It was one of our favorite shows out of all the parks. It's really fun and different and I love the music from Tarzan.

The parade.....this is about the only parade i will sit thru....I am a 31 year old who could care less about parades but for some reason I love the parade at AK.....Also I really like the Lion King show....

My DH and myself both love AK. My advice to you is, Take Your Time. This is not a park to run from one attraction to another. T here is so much to see, but it is not out in front of you. You need to slow down and look, look, and look. There is so much hidden that you can walk right past it.

There are many shows, but the shows the animals put on by them selves is the greatest of them all. When we walk the trails, I am so surprised that people just walk through. They don't slow down, have to get to the next thing right away, heaven forbid they take some time and look. We have seen so many cute, unusal and just fun things with all of the different animals.

Just remember this is not a zoo. You will not the see the animals lined up one after another like in zoo's, you have to look. One of our favorites is the Flights of Wonder show. It is about birds and we love seeing the American Bald Eagle at the end. It gives me the goosebumps when I see it.

Actually there in not one show at the AK that we don't like. Also take a look at the theming, it is incrediable. WE just love this park.

definetly Festival of the lion King
The safari ride
(if you want - why not book the backstage tour? DH and I did this on our honeymoon and really enjoyed it!)
We like the 2 jungle walks too...we got some GREAT pictures of the Tigers...one jumped right up in the window...got a great shot of him!
Dinosaur is a pretty decent "ride"

Lunch at Tusker House (our favorite)

The acrobats in Harambe village (Africa) are REALLY good...definetly stick around to watch them!

I would make sure to see Kilaminjaro Safari, Flights of Wonder,
Festival of the Lion King, Tarzan Rocks, and It's Tough to be a Bug. So much for the "big" attractions. Since you'll be on your honeymoon, take time to explore the two trails - Pangani Exploration Trail and Maharaja Jungle Trek. The gorillas and tigers are great to see. Also, for a little private time, there is a trail behind the Tree of Life. As you head to Africa and the Safari, you'll see the trail just before you cross the bridge into Africa. There are a few exhibits on the trail, but generally it is overlooked. You should find some quiet time to relax back there.

Also, in case you haven't thought about it, consider getting the bride and groom Mickey ears. You may think it corny, but the CM's are very observant about them, and those wearing them will usually get better show seats, better ride seats, and just special attention for your honeymoon.

Congratulations, and enjoy your trip!
