We are planning our 2nd trip to WDW for early February 2018. We are only spending 2 days at WDW and then 1 day at Sea World. DH wants to do 1 day at Epcot. I'm trying to decide where to spend our 2nd day at WDW - AK or HS?

We've done MK at WDW and Disneyland before. DD is 8 years old (54" tall) and loves thrill rides and doesn't care for all the characters in costume (she prefers real people). We have NEVER watched any Star Wars movies (don't judge us. lol) and DD is not interested in dinosaurs. We love animals and go to our local zoo at least 2x per month. We love the shows at WDW!

As a side note, I do not like thrill rides. I will do all the roller coasters at MK, but Splash Mountain (high falls) is too much for me.

Don't like thrill rides, never seen Star Wars.. Really no point in going to HS

Also, animal kingdom is much more than a zoo and there's only a couple rides in the area that feature dinosaurs

Well don't judge my DGD either, LOL. She hasn't much love for Star Wars although she did enjoy the Storm Troopers drill which we happened to walk into.

Sounds like you should spend the day at AK where there will be a couple of thrill rides for DD, great shows with real people singing throughout the day, Rivers of Light, and lots and lots of animals in Asia plus the safari.

My 5 year old niece was given the choice of wear to spend their last full park day after visiting all of the parks earlier in their trip. She chose DHS. She loved Toy Story, Tower of Terror and the Frozen Singalong and really wanted to see the live Beauty & the Beast stage show. They also had time for the Little Mermaid show. These shows appealed to her more so than Lion King or Nemo at AK.

In my view Animal Kingdom is the second best park right now. There are things to during daylight and in the dark. It"s not a half day park anymore.

If you have a great zoo, and you go often...This makes AK a hard choice. We have a few great zoos where I live and we go frequently as well. I like the "vibe" of AK as a lot of ppl also state, but... I'd rather go to my zoos to see ANIMALS. Not sure I'd go to AK because of the animals. If I remove the animals from the equation, I'd choose Hollywood, because Tower Of Terror is EVERYTHING, and Star Tours is a riot, and Toy Story is an absolute riot as well, and then you have RocknCoaster. The muppet show is hilarious, tons of ppl love the Frozen Sing a long thing. I haven't done FOP, Everest was just so-so.

Seriously? If I was you - the only answer is a hopper ticket. Pick and choose wisely at one, then hop to the other.
