Anyone have any info on the villas? When are the opening, prices etc. I've always wanted to stay at AK but with a family of 5-6 we almost need a 1-2 bedroom place.

A limited number of villas open in July, a few more in Sept and most opening in 2009 when Kidani Village opens. There are a lot of DVC members competing for these right now.

With all the DVC members anxious to try out the new DVC resort, there may not be much availability for a while. But, it doesn't hurt to try! The first rooms open next month.

I think you have a great chance.

DVD always kepts some (3 to 5%) of the resort for their rehab, upgrading, whatever. when they don't need to use it. CRO can and does rent it out.

The villas in the AKL will be opening as they are finished so there will be many of them available in the coming months. Some inventory is available for non members. So give it a try. The models are lovely although they are representative of Kidani Village (new buildings scheduled to start opening in 2009) not Jambo House (existing AKV 5th & 6th floor)
