Does anyone know if the concierge level studios are on a separate floor from the standard view studios?

Sorry if this is common knowledge, I'm still pretty much a newb when it comes to DVC specifics at the different resorts.

Concierge is only at Jambo, not Kidani

Club Level consists of five 2BR lockoffs. They are all located on the 6th floor of Jambo House. Three of them face an alcove of the Sunset Savanna, two of them face the pool area. The view is not great from any of those rooms.

Of course there are. A two bedroom lockoff consists of a one bedroom plus a studio, with doors that lock them off from one another.

The entire concierge level at AKV can be booked as five two bedrooms; or as up to five one bedrooms plus five studios; or as any combination of those two possibilities. You get the picture pretty quickly of why concierge is so hard to book even for home resort owners, though...

We have a reservation for next June. I was wondering if anybody had stayed recently, and knows what appetizers they have been having recently in the lounge. I know that they may well change by then, but, I am trying to decide what reservations we might make for other meals. My question is whether it is feasible to piece together a light meal with the appetizers.

Yes as the PP stated, a 2BR lockoff can be reserved as a 2BR unit or it can be "locked off" and treated as two separate units, a 1BR and a studio. We don't know for sure how DVC manages these rooms. They could decide to offer them as one 2BR, four studios and four 1BRs or it might be that if the first five people to book a given set of dates all want studios, then they split all of the lockoffs up and rent them as studios and 1BRs.

The studios tend to book up very quickly. Recently I spot checked a few dates at 11 months out and found no studios available but did find at least one 1BR available, but that was for early May which is a less busy time of the year.

Animal Kingdom Kidani Village is our home resort, but we haven't had the opportunity to stay there since purchasing. We are in the early stages of planning at DFTW for December of 2015, and had been considering trying to stay on the club/concierge level either for our planning session trip or for a couple nights on the wedding trip. Since they are only at Jambo house, which we wouldn't be able to try for until the 7 month mark, it's not sounding like the chances would be very good for that to happen.

If you own a contract at AKV you can book either Jambo House or Kidani 11 months out. It's all one resort but when you make a reservation, you do book a room in a specific building (Jambo or Kidani). And if you want to try to get a Club Level room you definitely want to book it 11 months out, 8am (eastern time) online.

That's good to know. I knew that Jambo and Kidani were on the same property, but for some reason I thought we could only book at Kidani village at the 11 month mark. Thanks or the info!
