Animal Kingdom Upgrades

Speaking with a co-worker, his family stayed at AKL 1 year ago and was offered an upgrade to Consierge (oh, my spellling is bad ) , for only $50 extra per night. Anyone ever hear of this ? We are staying in the least expensive rooms, and would love to upgrade, do you think I should ask at check in ?

We've never been offered that type of upgrade, but good for him!

The first time we stayed there, we were upgraded from savannah view to deluxe savannah view (June), which was very nice. We enjoyed the little bit of extra room and DD really liked the bunk beds.

The second time we were given a refrigerator at no cost (December). It was just left in the room and the CM at the front desk told us she hoped it would not be in the way.

It never hurts to ask -- Good luck and have fun!
