Animal Kingdom Trek

I did this 5 years or so ago with my niece and there is some walking. However, no where near a typical day in a park. While I'm not sure exactly what your concern with the walking may be, there are some rope bridges with wooden slats that you need to cross and these could pose some mobility problems. There were also some rougher paths to access the rope bridges that had tree roots and were uneven. Of course, this was many years ago when the Trek was first offered. If I recall correctly, we did spend some time riding in the back of 4x4 safari style jeeps for transportation so it wasn't completely on foot. Best wishes!

Did it a couple years ago... you walk a bit in Pangani, then to the Hippo pool, across the rope bridge (as mentioned above) and over to the Alligator pool. You are wearing a harness and are strapped in, so you don't slip and turn in to lunch for some lucky gator. You transfer to the truck up by the first Baobob tree and drive thru the savana and over to the Boma on the hill for lunch, then more driving to the end of the tour. While in the truck they stop and park so you can really check things out. It was awsone and I plan on doing it again sometime.

There's some uneven walking through some of the wooded areas and over the bridges (which look rickety and falling apart but there's netting underneath). About at least half of it is in a 4x4 and some of the rest of the time you're standing looking at the hippos or crocs.

You also have the choice of not doing the rope and wood bridge, you walk around on the path and meet up with the group when you get onto the truck.
